Hi everyone, Over the life of this site, I've received a few requests for a competitive Titanfall section. Recently, I received a PM from @Bigz266 that made a pretty good plea for one. However, with quite a few of the decisions I make here, I wanted to poll the community to see if this would be wanted. Below, I've outlined what I believe this section would be here. However, I'm still open to feedback if you all decide that you do want one here. What it would be: A place for the more hardcore Titanfall players to group up, setup custom matches, etc Discussion of the future of competitive Titanfall, what you'd want to see Respawn add for Titanfall 2 to make it more eSport focused Possible site tournaments where players in the community could compete for prizes What it would not be: A place for clans to come in, advertise, or try to poach members The vision for this section would be strictly for members of this community. It's quite possible that I'd lock members from posting in this area until they've reached a certain number of posts or ranking within the forum. This way, you don't have to worry about people trying to ruin things or become a nuisance. Is this something that the community wants? I came here looking for some notes on the update for Titanfall i had to install this morning, i didnt find anything on the patch BUT i saw something way more important to me... Competitive. I play Titanfall so much and have devoted so much time to it i would LOVE to see this become a reality. Made an account here so i could post this haha LETS MALKE IT HAPPEN!!!
While this isn't exactly my cup of tea, this is a great idea! Lots of people love competitive matches and this would be nice for organizing some community events!
Should have no problem at all getting people to fill this up. So much pent up aggression that some of these pilots have is off the charts.
By some of these responses this competition is well on it's way of being a reality. Though I'm not one of " the more hardcore Titanfall players", I'm sure someone will broadcast so that I can see some of the carnage as it happens.
I was thinking, with this new section, we could add competitive tactics. Instead of just reading about them, or watching them in a video, we could literally, in game, help out people who are new. I always love watching videos about tactics, but I feel with other people it helps to have someone there helping out , and with people from the community we could be there to answer any questions they may have. The best part is it doesn't need to be in a full fledged game, but in the private lobby where we can set the options to better suit what we are trying to achieve. Want to practice getting gooser with the plasma railgun? just set titan build time to unlimited.
That would be real nice! As of last week, I finally got 50 matches of CTF won and therefor acieved 100% completion of the game! So keeping up my skills while we wait till Titanfall 2 will be announced will be a great idea.
Congrats @SanJol I'm looking to do that as well. However, not as much activity on the new maps as I'd like in order to get those achievements.
That's right @iIk0n88x, sometimes it's hard to achieve it, when the DLC's are pretty much empty right now. You play on US servers?
This could be interesting. I Played TFall up until COD AW came out............then played that for about 1 month. I kicked COD AW to the Curb.......TFall is just better. I'm down for some competition...
Solid amount of votes in so far, but hoping to see a few more come in before making a final decision!
Although I do not view TF as being a competitive shooter, I don't see any reason for not having a forum for it.
