I wish it were wireless, but a Titanfall 2 wired controller was just announced. It's officially licensed & I think it looks pretty legit. Anyone here planning to buy it when it drops?
I'm in firm lovings with my elite! But man, this new one sure looks the part, love the detailing. Pdp do this one, with dual multifunction wheels on the back. They could be useful? Maybe a good jump button substitute.
Yeah the PDP controllers are pretty good. Feathering the arc cannon all day kinda hurts the digits after a while and all the buttons and triggers have a longer draw than the microsoft controllers but all in all the quality is there. And yes, the wheel control makes a good button for bunny hopping.
I wouldn't mind a wired controller. Tired of my youngest leaving the battery off charge while I'm at work!
i wish we could have a legit wired controller because as I understand it wired has less latency (I'm just trusting science on this one). Now are these hard wired controllers or can they be converted into wireless? And all controllers could really use a couple paddles on the backside
You can always get a plug and play lead for your controller! Yet that pdp one only comes prewired. Theres a lot of debate over the wired/wireless controller. I would argue that current travelling in a wire is slower, it would be sending and processing time im unsure of..... Yes, all controllers should be having back buttons as standard now!!!
I leave mine plugged in, but does that even influence the input on the controller or does it just effect the power source?
Ooh good one... On the microsoft site selling the cables it says "converts it from a wireless to wired controller". Whether that's them just stating it now works with the cable instead of batteries, or it actually changes. Would be interesting for an actual test to be done. (This wired/wireless difference in speed would pale in comparison to say the lag from different tv processing speeds, so i wouldnt worry about it too much. No more batteries though)
Back to the future....... At least with lead controllers you don't just have to throw in fits of rage, you can swing it around, not just have to direct fire like with a wireless - take out the vase behind you and some books to the side as well, before letting it go in whatever direction it's going to dent the wall in.
this looks sweet , hope they do a ps4 edition , the head sets look pretty cool i might pic one up , this looks like sign's of a Titan fall 2 limited edition system . time will tell.
Never been a fan of PHP, Before they started showing their logo's off more. I remember as a kid getting their after glow controller for PS2. The controllers were poorly designed with the buttons being too stiff, which caused a delay by how hard you have to push down on them.
On a side note, I just bought an elite controller. I must admit it is a nice piece, well worth the extra.
(sigh)... wish I had a new controller. (saying this as I'm typing and my wife is beside me. I wonder if my "hinting" has fallen on deaf ears).
I was in your situation, I ended up winning a $180 on powerball so I decided to buy one, had I not won the cash it would never have happened. Ha!
