You know, it's funny how those who preach tolerance can be the most intolerant.

This site obviously serves many purposes, such as answering questions, helpful tips, sharing what you like and sharing what you don't like. Now, on the like and don't like front there can be extremes, those who are very unhappy and need to vent, and those who are extremely excited and want to get their pom poms out.

As a contributor, I feel I have contributed in all of these purposes, and though I lean more on the vent side, I have even had my pom poms out for the Single Player Campaign, because I think it is tremendous. However, if it is a pom pom thread I disagree with, I'm not going to go in there and try to change the direction of the thread or dismiss what anyone is saying. That thread was not meant for me, but they have a voice too and I respect that.

However, I find it interesting that some who like to claim to hold up the banner of civility seem to have some intolerance for those who need a place to vent. They have no problem coming into a thread that was obviously meant for venting and ridiculing the comments, trying to dismiss them or just plain trying to change the entire tone or direction of the thread. Some have even gone so far as to imply that this site shouldn't really be an outlet for venting. I find that very sad, because everyone needs a place to go. Please allow me to share a couple quotes from other members besides myself:

"I don't know what else to do about the game? Thankfully I get to vent on this forum and read similar posts about the mind boggling choices the devs have chosen."

"As of now these forums are a place to vent. And it actually makes me happy to see others feel the same way I do bc TF2 is getting rave reviews and personally I don't get it."

Yep, points well made. One thing I notice in regards to the negativity towards TF2 on here, is the comparisons back to TF1. Things we miss, things that changed that don't feel "Titanfall". I get it. I feel that.

I think the rave reviews don't overwhelmingly look at the comparison between the new and the old. They look at the game on it's own, and frankly, on it's own I do believe it is of excellent quality. Single player campaign through to multiplayer.

However... to us Titanfall fans, it's a different story. We are looking to a sequel that enhances and expands upon what we enjoyed the most about the first. For some what we loved about the first is missing.

And hey, let's see over the next few months if some of those things we missed make a return!

P.S. ensc: check out my "New Poll!" thread. That was just for you. LOL

100 % Agree , brother , the funny thing about when others post to be tolerant to the betterment of the game , some readers don't take the time to read other post from the past and have no clue the journey they have taken from being super excited to super disappointed.

That is a very good point Trini my boy, it is like a roller coaster sometimes.

Just the first week of TF2 was like that for me. First, I loved it (Single Player), then I felt betrayed and ignored (Multiplayer), then I unwillingly had to change everything I loved to use and got good at it, but it is still like, meh (completely different game and not as good IMO as TF1). Overall though, my dominant feeling is still betrayal.

I asked SROSeaner to do a poll for me. He did, but it was probably not clear what it was about.

I basically asked him to do a poll like this:

Should TF3 be created with TF1 as it's starting point?
    Yes
    No

He did this as the poll instead (with the pig meaning TF2) but that is probably not clear. :)

it is understandable and i could relate , what could be cool if they had a feature for pc to tweak the player cap and make your own map and ai balance , with community weapon creation and balancing .

one thing that is frustrating me in TF@ is the collision detection i sometimes get stuck in between a pilot and a titan and ket killed even the ai enemy and friendly , the maps while are cool just feel too restricted sometimes and clustered . i do love my AI but the door ways are so narrow sometimes , i try to back up only to get stuck on a friendly titan moving forward or won't move lol .

Some very good points Trini. As a matter of fact, I'm going to start a new thread about the one, because I believe it deserves it.
