WOW!!! I did not realize how difficult it was to use a controller, because I have never used one.

I had just watched a Gamesager tutorial on slide hopping and air strafing while using a controller. I wanted to try this out so I went to Best Buy and bought an XBOX One controller for the PC. After about (3) frustrating 10-minute sessions, I could not even get the hang of moving and looking where I wanted to. I mean, NOT EVEN CLOSE!!! Not to mention, my thumbs hurt. The next morning, after only those 30 minutes the previous day, my thumbs were so sore. I've boxed the controller up and I'm going to return it, because I realize I wouldn't enjoy it and it would take me probably a couple years just to get to the level I am now with the mouse and keyboard.

Anyway, major props to those of you who are good and great players with controllers. I truly respect your coordination and skill.

I would still like to learn how to do bunny hopping, slide hopping and air strafing while doing it with a mouse and keyboard if it was at all possible, so if anyone knows if it is and if there are any good tutorials, I would really appreciate it if you could share some. Thanks.

That is a really nice thing to acknowledge. Regardless I will always feel second class for not using a computer and keyboard. I feel that so much more is squeezed from the game at the faster pace the computer and keyboard offers.

Thanks. Are things really faster on a PC? I was not aware of that. If so, what makes the difference?

I think the visual effect of the increased field of view and faster framerates may have something to do with the percieved speed increase. (Whack the xbone fov up to 110)

Takes a lot of work, and we know it's not nearly as precise as m&k play on a PC. Kudos to you for giving it a shot and walking a mile in peasant's shoes, as it were.

The big difference for me is the speed and accuracy in which you can turn a player with the mouse.

I play on both! Use the same monitor for Xbone & PC! Mainly play Dayz, Arma etc on PC. Titanfall is console all the way!
Anyway keyboard gets pushed to one side but my mouse it still right next to me! Game ends and late at night my hand moves to the mouse to change set up etc I start cursing and swearing that my bloody mouse has stopped working!

WOW!!! I also have newfound respect for those on the PC who can bunnyhop in TF1 and/or slide hop in TF2. I tried the TF2 technique War Spirit shows in the video Ik0n shared above and I just can't get the hang ot it. I also found a really well done tutorial (with keyboard overlays and everything) that War Spirit did for bunnyhopping in TF1:

...and I just can't get the hang of that either. I guess I was just not meant to move that fast. :) Major props to the guys who can though. Trying it and realizing how difficult it is just makes me respect you even more.
