Derrame, first, your English is great and you express yourself very well.

Second, you have just been knocking it out of the park lately. Some of the best ideas I've seen in awhile in the one other thread and now this. Very precise, to the point and right on the money. Great job!

Yes, though a large part of any success TF1 had was on the backs of the PC community, they were treated like a red headed stepchild for TF2.

i agree with you on this , as to me how the game was announce to showing videos and then a alpha and then launch all in a few months and even the launch window all were suspect .
in all my days playing video games and following a game and a new ip i have never seen a game that launch so soon after announcement in terms of official news . and even then info was blotchy , the alpha was not received well , fun or not hence the outcry on the official site and this would come from both pc and xbox console users as PlayStation gamers never played the game before unless they played on the console the game launched on.

all of these things go hand in hand and this is were a lot of the frustration and anger stemmed from as the info that is made public on the state of the game was unusual at best .

Lot of maybe's! I absolutely agree there is more passion in the PC community actually somewhat of an elitist attitude (when on PC I was the same where consoles were concerned).

The fact is that they (Respawn) wanted to draw in a lot more "Tommy Two Thumbs" because that is where the potential growth is - and that is and has been my point over many posts. What has to be recognized is, and like it or not, this is a totally new game based on the concept of Titanfall. The new players that have come on board with TF2 have no knowledge of TF1 and what a great game it is; what they see is TF2 and think it is great - at least reviews, etc indicate this along with the increased player activity, for now.

Derrame, I have many of the same concerns as most of you - I am convinced that if Respawn doesn't make some big changes soon we will see the number of players decline and quickly. My point about the Hackers was just to make a point that it is a PC issue and I doubt Respawn would see a financial benefit if they bought a solution such as what ENSC suggested given that this community is relatively.

You know all of the great things we liked (loved) about TF1 are valid and it is sad that so many were not brought forward. It isn't just maps what about some of the other game modes? Speaking of maps, if you play basically one mode, such as I do, it gets really boring real fast, I wish I had the skills to play "Mixed Tape" since it probably would not get so mundane.

I respect you and your comments so please forgive me if you thought otherwise I certainly didn't mean offense to anyone.

I bet Respawn wishes they sold 10 M! Also remember they don't get the $60 some goes to retailers, some goes to distribution and some is used to pay the bills - and then you drop the price to $30, which in and of itself was a tragic error in my opinion. Don't forget EA gets something as well I bet at the end of the day Respawn is lucky to earn 5 -7% net!

EN, in a perfect world you are correct "...pride and self respect" would dictate their actions. Unfortunately in the corporate world of my experience they are not issues unless there are $$$ benefits to the corp. "Ethics", I worked for one of the most ethical companies in the world, a Fortune 100 company and they would have made the same type of decisions as Respawn, since this is not an ethical issue. It would be a Public Relations issue and there simply isn't enough $$$ benefit to justify it, from what I have observed.

Don't disagree that they owe the PC'ers more respect and I think if money were no object then they would do a lot more and give what is deserved. I am pragmatic enough to believe that they have wrestled with this subject time and again and simply can't take the risk no matter how much they might want to...

Let's all hope that as the DLC's come out and they update the game it gets an even bigger community so they they can invest more in the PC segment. I believe we should all be spreading the word that this is a good/great game in its own right so that we can positively influence more players to come on board.

When I say spread the word I mean externally from this forum; on this forum we should try to continue to influence Respawn with honest, fair and valuable suggestions, commentary and evaluation. We should be clear on what we expect. I have no doubt posts on this forum will never be watered down!

Trini, you make an excellent point and I hardly agree with you.

It is my theory that EA forced Respawn to launch far too early. To me the game still feels like a Beta - it is incomplete. When you study the whole launch process it is poorly conceived, executed and as a result did more harm than good. If they had been allowed to wait until the spring - 3 years after the launch of TF1 I think - then they could have put a lot more development in place and properly finished the game.

By rushing to market the sales didn't materialize and that brings me full circle; it is all about the $$$! Now Respawn is probably short on funding to do the things they would have been able to invest with their original plan. In development investors have to be patient; after launch investors are looking for a payback and more circumspect about throwing more money into the pot given the weak performance after launch.

if only we knew the real story!

I think you mean $600 million, not 60, which makes your point even more valid.

I play on an Xbox One. I used to game exclusively on PCs when I was playing Half-Life. I enjoyed the tweaks you could do to your game experience on a PC, like adjusting the frame rate and chatting in-game with other players and voting on maps and so forth, but cheating (or at least the rumors of cheating) were rampant. I was reported for cheating several times and I never used any kind of bot or script or anything other than standard things in the game. I think some people are so overwhelmed by a new tactic they assume it's cheating. I was reported for cheating in T1 on a console, too.

Last night I played about 3 hours of T2. Started leveling up a new gun and then encountered a group of players who just ROFL stomped my "team". They were using phase shift and stim, so that whenever you would shoot them, by the first shot hitting them they would poof out of existence and re-enter normal space somewhere else and immediately kill me, and then other times one of them would storm into a room (on Dry Dock) and melee kill like 3 of us before any of us could get a shot off (viewing the kill-cam afterwards). You know how the Ronin can phase out when it goes critical? Is there a similar mod for a pilot, because I can't believe these pilots had a phase shift on hand when I'm shooting them from a distance (i.e., they don't know I'm there, so they can't be ready).

I think that match ended 475 to like 90.

To my eyes I was viewing pure cheating and hacks, but obviously it wasn't really cheating, they had just figured out how to play a better tactic. I started using phase shift and it's pretty hard to play against. Once you get used to the mechanic of it you can escape an attack and usually get the kill after. Very effective.

But beyond that I became incredibly frustrated with T2 last night. It was after a series of spawn-camping deaths on Dry Dock where for some reason the game kept spawning me and my teammates outside in direct line of 2 auto sentry guns and enemy pilots and 2 Titans. It was effing stupid. I had flashbacks of Call of Duty Modern Warfare and all of the impossible trick shot kill exploits people did in that game, and it was happening in T2. I quit a bunch of matches because it was so miserable, and I don't suck at this game, I can only imagine what it's like for new players.

The most I've seen a team recover from is probably around 50 points, so when you're playing and suddenly the score is like 250 to 75, I get tired of slogging it out and I'll go look for a different match. This happens to me too because a lot of matches end with only 4 or 5 players on a side. It's a real problem. For a game that just came out it's already lopsided. Then it's just endless leveling up weapons and camou that does nothing, and it's exactly like Call of Duty, and I quit that game in a rage.

If anyone had offered me $20 for my copy of T2 last night I would have gladly sold it. I feel like giving up on this game now. They ruined it. T1 was one of the best games ever and they destroyed what made it unique and fun. Whoever said T2 is really Call Of Duty: Titan Edition was bang on the money.

The maps have been found out. Maps like Crash Site have too many choke points and it just becomes a brainless slugfest. Angel City is still fun and while i think esthetically some of the new maps look great they don't play great. One of the things I loved in T1 was using the satchel charges but in T2 they don't play the same, and the grenades (any) don't play the same either. It's just a twitch splatter fest. I'm stepping away from the game for awhile, and probably going back to T1.

Yeah, I think you are right Trini, but you know what? I want them to say this. I want them to come out and say, "Screw you EA! We planned on releasing on March 31, 2017, because that was the end of our release window. You forced us to announce in June that we were going to release in 4 months, which was 5 months ahead of schedule. So, now we had to wrap everything up we were working on and eliminate a lot of stuff we planned to include. You made us release a game that did not meet our standards. And, you made us release in the worst possible strategic window between Battlefield 1 and COD Infinite Warfare." If they came out and said all that I would respect the hell out of them, but even if all of that is the truth, if they are not going to have the balls to come out and say it (even if it would risk their relationship with EA), then I can only blame all of the shortcomings on them. If they allowed EA to force them to rush TF2 out unfinished and in a bad window so they could get onto the Star Wars game, then I'm sorry that is Respawn's fault. I personally would have told them, "No way! We take pride in this game and we are not going to release it until we are satisfied with it. And, we are definitely not going to release it in an unfavorable window like that even if we were ready. If that means someone else gets the Star Wars game, then so be it, but we are about quality, not the almighty dollar."

My comments would be pretty much the same as my reply to Trini's comments.

    Yes, agreed.

Oh, WOW! Thank you for correcting my huge mistake my friend. :)

I have a thread that really speaks to this:
    http://www.titanfall-community.com/threads/the-case-for-how-matchmaking-is-worse-than-tf1.8054/

Yeah, it is frustrating my friend. Sorry you have to deal with this. And, I believe I was at least one person who said that, so thanks!

I had a thread about the Satchels too you may be interested in:
