This is what I mean.. we'll never agree because you guys see a lot of "massively wrong design decisions" and I simply don't. I loved Titanfall 1 and I love Titanfall 2. Every game has it's flaws and I criticize the things I don't agree with and try to make them known to the developers. I just don't see how someone can complain about a game they've put over 20 hours into and only paid $60 for. If those were movies and lets say they averaged 2 hours, that's 10 movies. I don't know how much tickets cost around you but by me they are $13 so you'd be at $130 for the same amount of time for something that you can't participate in and something that has absolutely zero post release content to enjoy until the next movie (if there is one).

This is not a good argument, because yes, there is no question that any video game is a far better investment and gives a far greater return on your money, whether you play it for 20 hours or 2000 hours, compared to other forms of entertainment. That's a given and we can all agree on that. However, to say that the fact that any video game being a better investment than other forms of entertainment means you should not complain about it does not help anyone, especially when we are talking about a sequel. With a sequel, people have every right to base their expectations on what the content of the original was. I'm going to use an extreme example, but this is actually how I feel about TF2, so maybe this will help you to understand where I am coming from. You said you used to like the Unreal Tournament game. So, let's say that you played the first version of Unreal Tournament and you loved it and thought it was the best video game ever (which is kind of where I was with TF1). After a couple of years, even though you loved it, you just can't wait to have Unreal Tournament 2 and you are all excited for it. So they release Unreal Tournament 2 and it is basically the Angry Birds game with an "Unreal Tournament 2" name on it. I don't think you would be very happy about it. And anyone who loved the first Unreal Tournament would have every right to be extremely upset about it and chastise and criticize that company, because they totally deserved it. I know you will think that is an extreme example, but to me it actually isn't, because it is exactly how I feel about TF2. It is not even the same game as TF1. To me, it may as well have been Angry Birds with a "Titanfall 2" name on it, because it is just that different. And I, and everyone else who is not happy with it, have every right to complain and criticize about it just as those in the Unreal Tournament example would have.

Unreal Tournament --> Unreal 2: The Awakening. They changed it up (much more than TF1 to TF2) but kept the core mechanics of the game the same and it was amazing. You can alter a game without changing what it fundamentally is. The core values of Titanfall are still the same as with Unreal 2: The Awakening.

But we have a fundamental disagreement as to how much the game has changed and I know where you're coming from on that. I just can't wrap my head around how someone can think Titanfall 2 is that much different than Titanfall 1 and I'm sure you feel the same way back.

The core is not the same at all. Maps are smaller and choke-pointed. Titans are slower, weaker, no regenerating shields, no customizable loadouts, the rodeo mechanic is different, you don't get titans as often and they don't last as long. The titans are not the centerpiece of the game anymore. They are merely a temporary boost in what is otherwise just another traditional FPS game.

Yeah, I do feel the same way back. The only explanation is that you loved traditional FPS games before ever going into TF1, so now that they have made massive changes to make TF2 a traditional FPS game with just token titans every now and then you are OK with it. I'm not.

While I agree that the map design is a lot better in Titanfall 1, it has nothing to do with the core of the game. I agree the Titans are weaker because of no regenerating shields. I don't feel like the Titans are slower, even going and playing back between the games unless you're talking DASH CORE and SWORD CORE basically gives you unlimited dash. I feel like I get Titans just as often and they last pretty much just as long.

The only FPS game my girlfriend loved was Titanfall and she loves Titanfall 2. She despises Call of Duty and other "traditional" FPS games.

glad you like it. it's a just a concept i have be thinking of and i thing it can be applyed with out affecting the current gameplay that gamers may have gotten used too and like , that and i really think it will add some strong depth and give a strong sense of belong to any said faction.
it would be a lot of work for the Dev's but respawn has the skill and people to implement this. i just don't know if they will ever see this concept or use this . it would be cool to see this concept .
