As most of you know, I'm not a big fan of COD and I blame the influence of the input of COD players for driving the changes to TF2 that make me not enjoy the game anywhere near as much as TF1.

However, I may actually try the upcoming installment of the franchise, because this is one of the best trailers for a game I've seen in a awhile. There seems to be a rawness to it, a realisticness, to the point where you can feel the intenseness of being there. It also looks like they are being very wise by doing a nice blend of going back to their roots while at the same time incorporating strengths they've found along the way.

That does look like a really nice updated piece of work from when I was playing Call of Duty & Medal of Honor on Playstation. Looks like I may have to keep an eye (and an ear) out on this.

I'm one of the few who are not excited about the WWII setting. I'm not sure I want to go back, I like the faster paced movement and weapons of the last few COD games. I think a game like Infinite Warfare would have better been marketed as something other than COD. Activision, relies too much on the COD name, where had it been marketed as new IP, perhaps it would have done better. I actually enjoy COD Infinite Warfare, and the campaign was really good for a COD.

With that being said, I will likely give WWII a try because I felt Sledgehammer game's COD Advanced Warfare has been the best the MP has been in awhile. I wouldn't say from the start but after a few patches, the lag, or netcode seemed to have improved. I'm hoping they do the same with WWII.

That sounds like it would have been a really good idea.

I would almost love for Titanfall to be split in 2 in the future, like this:

Titanfall - rock solid Multiplayer starting with TF1 as it's core, since it is the far superior multiplayer
Frontier - rock solid Single Player (with 120 hours worth of playing time) with TF2 Single Player as it's core, since it was perfection and the best part of TF2

Have 2 seperate teams working on those and release a new version of each every 2 years on an alternating cycle:
    March 2019 - Titanfall 3
    March 2020 - Frontier 2
    March 2021 - Titanfall 4
    March 2022- Frontier 3
    ...and so on

I'm really excited for WWII, hopefully Sledgehammer can pull it off as well as old Infinity Ward (*respawn*) did.

WWII will be awesome, surely. Although I'd like to see it be like battlefield moreso withe the MP we will just have to go with the COD style of shooter. I have no doubt it will be cool, some of the vids of the beta or whatever they're playing (the unfinished versions) it looks really really good. Can't wait.

I may have to keep an eye on this one. Not always in favor of the "leveling-up" aspect in the COD games..............but fun nonetheless.

I'm in fps turmoil. I bought every CoD (right from the original) up to Ghosts, but haven't bought one since. I've also been a Battlefield veteran from 1942 all the way through, but 4 left a bad taste, Hard-line was mediocre at best, and 1 has never found a place in my heart.
Titanfall 1 was a complete breath of fresh air for me, but I've not put any time into 2 that I should have..
I'm enjoying PUBG, but it's a couple of rounds every other night rather than the rush home from work to play title I'm after...
If gaming was my profession, I'd be hanging up my controller and moving into consultancy....

I'm with you brother, but in a slightly different way. I never liked traditional FPS games. I loved TF1 only because it was not a traditional FPS game. TF2 has moved too for towards being a traditional FPS game, therefore I don't enjoy it. I still play the heck out of TF1 every day and I am still not bored with it. However, it is 3 years and 5 months old now and hasn't had any new content in almost 3 years and the user base is extremely low now. It could really use some new maps and a boost to the user base, because TF2 filled none of that gap. Could really use something new to latch on to.

TF1 was it for me too! Played it better than any other game. Maybe because it was NOT a "traditional FPS game", it made my meager abilities shine a little brighter!
I also would like a return to more of what TF1 was. Maybe they will simply update the game and go from there. Probably not, but I hold out hope!

Thank you Kingkat! I'm with you 1000%.

Just in case you haven't seen it, I think you would really enjoy the video here. I was a little hesitant to watch this when I first saw it, because I know FrothyOmen is pretty cozy with Respawn at times, so I was expecting him to be a lot more supportive of the direction they have taken. I was pleasantly surprised by this video and agree with about 90% of it. It was nice to have someone of his stature narrating this video on behalf of some other competitive players that he trusts.

Yeah, I'm not sure how to say this but I firmly can't get THAT excited for CoD any more. Don't get me wrong, WWII looks fantastic and I'm sure I'd enjoy for a few hours but I seem to buy CoD every year without thought that I actually play for a week or so and then it goes on the shelf. It's almost like, Ok, it's November, time to dust off the summer clothes, get my bikini body ready for the beach and buy CoD. I think I'll hang off and see this year, really looking forward to PUBG on console so I can actually play it and am itching to buy a PC and play some other stuff. Far Cry 5 of course for those who know me will understand that when it comes out...I won't be seen for some time. :D

Exactly! I have most of the COD games, and I feel the same.......................its COD, just different uniforms, maps, etc. May keep an eye on it, but without a beta to try.........the level ups are at it again. Always trying to make so many players happy.

Playing the Beta done a few matches now. It's cool. I have to admit after all the other freaky COD's which I dipped into, this will be the best so far personally by a long shot. It's pretty straight to the point, WW2 themed which is a bonus, not too much crazy COD style stuff, and good fun with all the old school weapons awesome to get on a Garand again.....except that's a waste of time in MP I think everyone's doing the SMG thing.
I would definitely like to see the campaign, surely that will be bad ass. The MP is quite cool on the Beta, fast paced, great sound effects, and all sorts of cool upgrading and weapon loadouts.

Good old COD quickscopers galore though. I can't really quickscope, and I do think it's a bit of a game wrecker, but end of the day we all have some little trick that pisses everyone else off, but I can see that might be a game wrecker for many when your up against 5 quickscopers running around with sniper rifles in CQB during a WW2 battle........., kind of kills the buzzz. Dut dut dut is much more fun. Cracks me up though how much fun can that really be? great to be able to do but don't you want to chop enemies up!!!

Camping by spawn sites too, another COD habit. That's going to really be a problem. Not even 2 matches into the beta and I noticed this 'real bad'. So that's something I think is going to be a bit of a game wrecker too. But hey, points are points. They do it on BF1 now too these days, once the spawn areas are known, that's it.

Obviously some of the guns are going to be called to be nerfed as time goes by. I like the grease gun that's pretty bad ass, the Garand is awesome if you land your shots before you get chopped up, it's powerful.

Pretty awesome so far with the beta, looking forward to release.

Nothing will every beat TF yet though I don't think. Still waiting for something to try. Battlefield 1 for me is my next best game, but I have a feeling WW2 might be going to slip in there.

But, TF, still the staple diet.

    Peace!

What I liked about TF1 was that my initial skill set did not matter.
Yeah, I learned and now I wreck shit ... But I learned from guys in the lobby that just liked rolling with pilots that spoke their shit.
TF1 lobbies are awesome, now I'm waiting for matches alone wondering if TF2 will ever connect me to a match...

Yeah, forever waiting and no continuity with players or chat. No atta boys, talking smack, revenge matches or meeting new friends.

Hey mate, I reckon I dunno if there is much influence to TF2 from COD....maybe it's just me, and just my op. For example it's score cards vs players pulling gestures at the end, speed of movement, smoothness and the rage that Titanfall brings with it's mass battles AI, other pilots and those (bluddy) reapers, COD or the one's that I've MP'd on honestly to me don't feel anything like TF, and it's just run and gun sheez how do some of those guys quickscope so bad ass!. In fact even with the Beta over the weekend I've had to go back and have a jam on TF at the expense of the beta ending just to get a fix!!

But WW2 has been mean though. I didn't like Infinite or black ops 3. Going back to WW2 is a treat definitely. Only Titanfall suits futuristic stuff. But COD does the old war stuff amazing.

I think that many will like WW2, and like you say there is some realistic and intenseness to it. I really can't wait for the campaign I have high hopes for it.

Anyway, just thought I'd say. I haven't been on here enough of late!

As always personally I find I can play both with the same passion, TF2 I find personally to be an advancement, just probably because it's newer I suppose, but I know many disagree. TF1 is still the bees, and there is nothing I've ever played better, once I got hooked on that I stayed on it right through never played anything else. I do find the TF1 & TF2 switch though is only a matter of remembering you can slide in one, and not the other, and you can stim like hell in one, and only semi in the other. I find them both outstanding. (Always forgetting and crouching thinking I'm going to slide in TF1!!! - dead!)

Been going back alot to 1 trying to get my bluddy diamond tier back!!

Cheers Ensc, hope you get on WW2 it's pretty amazing from what I've seen so far, looking forward to the full version though.

It's pretty much only the advocate lobbys these days. The smaller ones are totally dependent on members being on. I've noticed a lot of people playing other games now on the updates, must admit I've been dabbing into Dying light lately too so I'm a culprit!!

    Absolutely!

Thanks buddy! Yeah, I will probably give it a go.

I actually just picked this one up yesterday, because I think investing time in learning the movement in this one would end up being satisfying:
