tf3 in 2019? i think that is very early, not enough tim to develop the campaign and the mp with new things

Thanks Derrame! Yeah, unfortunately, other than Frontier Defense, I don't think we will see much more major content for TF2.

I think March 2019 would be a very realistic and good release timeframe for Titanfall 3, but I believe it should be this:

Multiplayer Only - as TF1 was, so that 100% of time can be focussed on making a polished Muliplayer game
The Starting Point Should Be TF1 - it is a far superior Multiplayer experience and all of the mechanics and core functions are much better

If you approach it that way, I think March 2019 is very doable, because I believe they did the majority of TF1 in 2 years and if they use TF1 as the base, they've already got all of the major building blocks in place to add on top of. You could really do a lot in 2 years if you approach it that way.

I'm not saying I don't want a Single Player Campaign, but I think it should be separate (done by a separate team), so that it does not drain resources from the Multiplayer. I think the next version of the Single Player Campaign, called Frontier 2, should launch in March 2020 and have 120 hours of play time.

two years is not enough for creating a new game
even if they use elements from tf1 and 2
the campaign must be as good as tf2's is, it takes time even if made by different team, which i don't think it's a god idea
see what happened to mass effect andromeda...

and they spent 2 years for tf2 and the dlc maps are the maps from tf1
    in tf3 i don't want the maps from tf2

    they must create something new

Things to keep in mind here:

    1. This video is total speculation. I've said this many times over in the official forums - data mining is just that - it's finding data in the game files. That doesn't mean it's something that will ever make it to see the light of day.
    2. We don't know what Respawn is doing necessarily behind the scenes. What I mean by that is - its' entirely possible dev on TF3 has already started, so 2019 may be a very realistic date.
    3. While the free DLC may slow down - I"m not sure it'll stop completely - but that's just MY opinion.

Eventually, yes, resources will shift to the production of TF3, and that's a good thing. Despite what seems to be pretty common sentiment here - I was both a big fan of TF1, and I'm a big fan of TF2. After initially disliking it intently - I like the new Titan system. I'm about 75% satisfied with the maps, but it's hard to accommodate what I would enjoy at only 6v6 (Bigger maps), and the incessant lag issues wouldn't be there - they'd have moved to a more traditional server browser system with leased servers.

Overall - if I had the opportunity to go back pre-TF2 and ask me what I wanted for 2 - my answer wouldn't be what's in TF2, however, now that I've played it (a lot.. too much .. just ask my wife) - I'm overall pretty happy with it, I would and have recommended it to friends who now fully enjoy it, and I would advise them to pick up 3 when it's available.

all speculation based in data files so far has been true
    Monarch , Third weapon slot
an those maps, are designed for live fire, no place for titans in there

it's great that in 2019 we have TF3!
my full support for tf3, i hope they continue Jack and BT's story

and that the maps are big, and titans faster and poweful, etc

i hope you are right, i'd like to have way more new content, like brand new maps

@Derrame - I understand what you're saying - but that doesn't mean they will be in the future. Coming from the background I have - I can guarantee you there's a ton of stuff in most games that you can get to by data mining that never see the light of day. Not arguing with you because I've seen a lot of the data mine stuff come to fruition, but at the same time - that doesn't mean to take it at face value.

I'm not sure about continuing Jack and BT's story- simply because of the way the SP campaign ends, but that doesn't mean they can't continue Cooper's story somehow. It'd be nice to have some of the continuity that way, but at the same time, it'd be fun to have something completely new, too. I just hope it's on par with what they did with 2 for the SP campaign for sure.

I've been thinking a lot about it and I just have one request for TF3, but it is a big one, concerning the entire game. I know there are some players, such as Ik0n and Magik who loved TF1 and have now grown to love TF2. However, there is a large segment of the TF1 community that feels betrayed by the changes made going from TF1 and TF2 and when we bring up our displeasure, a lot of times we are told things (and I'm not saying that Ik0n and Magik say this, but others do and have) like, "you can't expect them to make the same game", "you don't want a sequel that is the same as the original", "just move on", "just get over it", "if you don't like it, then don't play it", and on and on and on.

OK fine, then I just ask one thing for TF3, you have to change every possible core functionality of it so that it is nothing like TF2. I would prefer you went back and started with TF1, but you don't have to, but please make it so anyone who loves TF2 and may have been telling us to move on knows what it feels like. I don't even care if it means that TF3 turns out to be another game I hate. I just want anyone who liked TF2 and told me to get over it knows what if feels like.

Because to me, TF1 was the most perfect game ever made and they were like, "Ahhh, screw that perfect thing, why would we want to build on that. Let's make a crap sandwich instead." So if now they say, "Oooh, this crap sandwich is great, we should use this as our base to build from.", then that is rediculous and would almost be like a double slap in the face to those of us who loved TF1 and didn't like what they did in TF2.

My point is you can't have your cake and eat it too. You can't have it both ways. If you had to change the entire game from TF1 to TF2, fine, then you have to do the same thing from TF2 to TF3, because we certainly wouldn't want the same game, right? To do anything else would be massively hypocritical.

I think the fair thing to do would be to make TF3 using TF1 as the starting point (and where TF3 would have exposure to the PS4 players for the first time to get them the TF1 look and feel). Then, in the future, make TF4 using TF2 as the starting point. Then, let's see which one is more succesful after that. And players like Ik0n and Magik should be extremely happy with that because if they truly love both games, then they will be getting a newer version of each in the future. The more I think about it, I truly think that would be the most fair thing to do.

    whats up guys.
ensc i agree to a certain extent.
and to me it is a bit disappointing as the dlc is starting to slow down like some may say. as personally this is not the time for a slow down .
when you think about it . what did we get for the game mostly remastered tf1 maps , while this is a great thing for players that like those maps and for those who did not experience the first game.

we got a few new modes with maps designed for them all good . should have been in the game at launch IMO .

would have liked to see new maps each dlc drop not just for a pilot mode
would have liked to have seen new weapons . and not just weapons but weapon sights .
while camos are cool and there are a variety in the game in this day and age camos and camos skin for guns are to simple at best

i hope for part 3 they look at the ideas members on the forums have been debating and pointing out over the few months.

i personalty would like to see a mix of titan fall 1 and 2 in the mix with titans and there loadouts.
and what i mean is. am down with different locked in titan cores . what i would like to see is different weapon loadouts / guns to be selected for titans locked in cores but to select weapons . similar to pilots locked in cores but have different weapon selections.
i say this because the titans should be an extension of the pilot ability . a weapon a suit of armor . and so fort.

would like o see the live multiplayer campaign make a come back in a bigger way to even expand more on the story campaign .

would like to see an more in depth function to the factions. plenty of potential here. plenty . for dlc and in game content.

    a coop campaign . .

a revamp of the battery and regenerative shield system . for titans. have read many great ideas and concepts from fans.

a more indepth look to there prime titan models mix with the faction concept.

hope they look into the lost ambiance war zone feel part 1 had and mix it in with the future installments. sound ai etc etc.

AI wildlife and live danger zones in maps . a return of the hack able turrets.

a better command setup for ai titans ..
    titan custom voice.

would like to experience a bigger player count with even more AI .

Thanks Trini my boy! Appreciate it buddy.

Yes, I think TF3 needs to be 1 of 3 things:
    1) Either completely different than TF2 for the reasons I described above.
    2) If there is going to be any elements of TF2 left in it, then it has to be at least 50/50. It has to be 50% TF1 and 50% TF2.
    3) Announce up front that TF3 will be based on TF1 and TF4 will be base on TF2.

I would be accepting of any of those, but if it is created as if TF2 was great and we should use it as a base to build from, then they can go sell that crap somewhere else, because there is not an ounce of fairness in it, but it would be loaded with hypocrisy.

As far as your other ideas Trini my boy, they should really listen to you and I've already told Derrame that if they do keep their heads 10 miles up their butts about TF1, someday I am going to buy the rights to it and you and Derrame are going to be in charge of the environment and the feel of the game when I build on TF1 the way it should have been done.

i have and had a good response to the concept. on the official and other venues.

if they do like the concept then all good. if not oh well.
i know this for sure i have not read any concept close to what i have imagine . and the concept with factions i have yet not been challenged on it on why it cannot work. for those who have read the concept idea.

for those who have read the concept like it but this are just fans.
for now to be honest i don't have the energy to debate on the official forums like in the beginning .

if one asked me, am i excited for tf3. to be honest i will say no. and this is coming from a consumer. much less who ever else out there may think the same or not.

as for the direction of the state of the game and how it is now and what has been launched to it's current dlc. i have and many i have talked to and from what i have read and seen on videos . i am not surprised as many have said this was coming .

imo the game game has much more potential and imo the game even doe it play good and so on it still feels rushed. as imo if the game was to launch lets say around next month august . and given the time to build test etc etc. all the content that we have gotten since launch probable would have been in the game at launch that and more. so in a way i think of tf2 and a big beta test and what comes for the future in tf3 is all lessons learned this year so far.

so cheers to tf3 and the future.

Thanks Derrame! I have written at least some form of it over there and I think it is received fairly. I don't mind debating things.

Wow! I was actually surprised to hear you say that Trini. I don't blame you, but you are always looking for the bright spot. You are the ray of sunshine. I feel the same though, because I'm not excited about TF2 and if they choose to build off of that, then there is absolutely nothing for me to be excited about.

You know what? That is probably the most sober analysis of the state of things. Very well put Trini my boy.

So now let's hope those lessons learned are that none of these crap changes we made worked, so let's scrap them and go back to TF1 and build from there. :) Then, this guy for one would be more excited than ne's been in a long time.
