I was going to start a new thread, but this is probably as good a place to add my comment. I love both TF1 and TF2. But TF2 is taking blow after blow to point of creating an unrecognizable game. The grapple being reduced to discharge only once on attrition is the latest poison arrow. So many nerfs for all the wrong reasons. Is this being done out of greed to attract those who do not want a fun, different challenging game but just more of the same. I now have to really wonder if the powers that be are trying to snuff the life out of the game and bankrupt/terminate the franchaise on purpose. Maybe the game was just a little bit too revolutionary and made so many other games irrelevant, that there was some big dark hidden backlash or death threats against them we are not aware of. OMG. I hate to say it, but the latest rounds of BS "upgrades" is really killing me. Maybe my wife secretly bribed EA/Respawn so she can have me back hanging out evenings instead of playing TF/TF2. Maybe I too will be going back to TF1.
I never liked the move to appeal to "casuals" and I think I realized why lately, because it relates to the real world. I despise welfare, redistrubution of wealth and the "participation trophy" society we live in. Give me the days of the WWII generation (the greatest generation who ever lived) or the days of John Wayne, where a man was a man and earned what he had because he worked his butt off for it. There was none of this casual crap. I would be happy if they took this casual nonsense and shoved it 10 miles up where the sun doesn't shine. If you're going to do something, do it right or don't do it at all. If you're going to play a game, play to win or don't play at all. Casual... Phooey! Nonsense!
