    Hello,

I'm interested in seeing everyone's favorite faction and why. Maybe a little fan fiction story to go along with that faction as well.

My faction would have to be the IMC because they are pretty much acting as what the U.S military is currently doing in the Middle East. They are policing the people and restoring order where the militia is rebelling against the cause.

IMC - I'm all about the corporate greed, son!

    The story of my pilot...

Ignatius Krum was born to an upper-class family. He enjoyed all the benefits a rich upbringing can provide. His parents hoped he would follow in the family business and become a civilian prospector for the major mining projects.

Through the years he came to believe that everyone has their "place" in the grand scheme of things. Ignatius felt the need to ensure that anyone attempting to improve their "place" should rightly be put back into it. This lead him to the path of becoming a pilot where he could ensure that the proper level of action was taken in these cases.

His parents disowned him for going against their wishes and joining the military. With nothing to return to after military life Ignatius has a singular focus on bringing order to the chaos the Militia have wrought. This war is all he has to live and die for.

(Just to let you know the IMC from what i have scrapped together so far have been running planet crackings across the galaxy which causes the tectonic plates to become unstable and ultimately make the planet Uninhabitable thus the Miltia was formed to fight against the capitalist government and thier Lapdog military arm)

Jeremiah Clark was born on the Haven Colony, His parents were forcifully relocated from thier home hab unit encircling Earth to be sent on a drafted colonisation/mining mission, The future for these families was a harsh one, Manual labour, long hours and a mounting debt system put in place by the IMC bureaucrats to bleed the family dry of any positive future lead them into the only job they could find, Planetoid EVA Mining, At the time of this draft mission safety was not one of the priorities ,This meant protective wear was near non existent in this line of work and the life expectancy was considerd short for the time period.

By the time Jeremiah was 26 Refurbed Atlas Titans was starting to trickle into the Haven Colony, He had heard of the Titan Wars during his early childhood and his mind raced to what he would see the marvel and grandeur these massive machines were capable of. Jeremiah waited two years to be drafted into the Atlas Mining program. When he finally came face to face to the machine his expectations didn't fit with reality, The Atlas had been stripped clean, Quite literally any armor plating for this great machine had been stripped off and presumably relocated to other Atlas Factories for the so called "War Effort" the IMC loved to exaggerate about.

Jeremiah knew he wouldn't last long on this colony, His family were testament to it, Looking at this skeletal shadow of a war machine he heard so much about he ponderd whether he would be safer manual EVA mining then being thrown into the deeper recesses of the planet's core. He had to make a choice, Die here or find a way off planet and start anew, He had options since he was born on this rock he knew of the underground militia movement building strength over the years, Taking mining tools and converting them to basic weaponary, Taking extremely hazardous explosives called DetNite from guarded munitions depots and using them on the IMC supply drops.

From the Militia's point of view it was dealing blows to the IMC's supply line it was also killing the innocent workers who manned the Supply depot, Jeremiah decided to do something about it, At shift start he walked into the nearest guards garrison and handed the first IMC soldier he could find a letter, In this letter detailed confirmed regular milita meetings, Training sites and names of militia middlemen. All Jeremiah wanted in return was to get off this damn rock if it meant the IMC giving him a helping hand he'll take it the Militia though thier cause maybe righteous will only end up replacing the IMC and becoming the very thing they are trying to defeat so why quibble on whos right?

The reaction to his letter was swift, IMC raiding parties rounded up the names on the list and summarily executed them, training sites were swept through and burned to the ground, Miltia leaders were apprehended, Tortured for information and then executed via a live feed to the colony.

After a few days in a detention cell Jeremiah had a visitor, This visitor didn't wear the clothes of a miner or an IMC Grunt, He wore a suit an expensive one from what Jeremiah could see and he offerd him a deal, Join the IMC Military Force on a conscription bases, Get off world and travel the stars and fight for what is right. He waiting for the other shoe to drop the string to the carrot he was being offerd he didn't have to wait long. The suit just before leaving turned and looked Jeremiah in the eye and told him if he rejected the offer or in anyway tried to escape from his conscription services he would be terminated along with the rest of the miners on Haven Colony.

    One Year Later.....

    Low orbit over Angel City....

    Intense fighting below.....

    Titan Ready.

(It was a bit long and my spelling and grammar isn't that great but thats my story)

    Why are they the villains.

You have to think about it just because they are militia doesn't mean they fight for the correct cause. Like I said in my reason are you calling the United States villains because we are fighting militia over seas right now. The insurgents are the militia and I'm pretty sure they are the villain not us

Orbital strikes usually meant that nothing was left except ruins. Such was the fate of Kevin Edstroms home colony.

The IMC Paramilitary Division sounded like a dream job: great pay, the latest combat technology at their disposal, and a free ticket to see the Frontier. All they asked was to never question company policy or the decisions of the Board of Directors, including his superior officers. "Sure, I'll put 40mm shell in those houses full of civilians who refuse to leave." never even came to him. But upon hearing the name of the next colony to evict, a cold wave came over him. Even as he struggled to get out of the grasp of the guards on the Firing Deck of the IMC Carrier Avalon, only one thing entered his thoughts: How do I fight this? 2.67 seconds later, the colony was no more. Not a single life form had survived.

Sitting in the brig of the Avalon, Kevin realized what he had become. He had participated in the murder of all those he once called "friend", "mother", and "father". The thought of it shattered him and left him devoid of any thoughts of continued existence. The only thing that rang in his ears were the words cyanide pills.

Landing at the prison station didn't help to clear his mind either, especially with a Militia rescue party exchanging gunfire with the Marvin overseers. Out of nowhere, 6 drop-pods crashed through and captured the station. While most prisoners were taken back with glee from the green suited Grunts and Pilots, he looked upon them with a sense of purpose, and him with suspicion.

But his story was not uncommon. As the tale poured from his mouth, he was handed a Pilot suit, an R-101, and asked what his preferred Titan was.

"Well Sarah, what do you think?"

    "He'll do."

I believe my pilot has been on "both" sides, and has finally made his most fateful decision. In the beginning, the IMC seemed benevolent, a big Brother that would take care of us, our families, our future. For a while all was well, all good. Then one day, it changed. The IMC could not contain its monetary greed, its incessant desire for greater, and greater profits and control of the planets. It began to feed on itself, it required more and more resources to merely exist, let alone give enough for others to merely eek out a meager existence. It began to control everything it conquered, and everything it desired. No one, nor any thing was enough for survival, it wanted it ALL!

Computers and Technology began to replace humans and individual achievements. They were no longer valued, except as replacements for broken and worn out AI-Bots. The human condition was at its lowest level. Humans were expendable. This began a chain of events that turned, even the most ardent follower of the "New Order" against the Corporations of the intergalactic Universe. The idea, whose time had come, was incubating. History had proven the enormous power of a people that desired freedom and equality for all could never be denied! The time was right. The time was NOW! Join the growing rebellion and live as a free man, or perish as a corporate slave.
