I was severely underwhelmed. Partly it's due to my own hype I was giving the game. It just feels like another COD money grab franchise. Buyers remorse is not a strong enough word. This title maybe, maybe only commands a $29.99 price tag. However.......the game mechanics are pretty solid and I love the amazing abilities.

There is not much emphasis on teamwork. I suggest a TS3 server if you want to play as a unit. Sorry to say this is not a COD killer. I hate sounding so negative but I can't lie. I applaud the small team for their contribution to the shooter community. Developers just need to start realizing we don't want linearity, limited customization, low content for a AAA title price.

    Good:

    • Stellar game appearance
    • Excellent frame rate MAXED OUT and ONLINE!
    • Sounds are brilliant
    • Movement mechanics are new and refreshing
    • You get a TITAN no matter how well you do.
    • Very fast paced combat

    Bad:

    • Absolutely NO character or TITAN customization. This is a online community killer!
    • No skin templates to create custom content [I own the PC version]
    • No weapon customization
    • No ability to cover and peek fire over ledges or around corners
    • Only two maps at launch (I can see why there was no DEMO)
    • Heavy weapons feel a little too Nerfed against TITANS.
    • No VoIP that I can see or hear
    • No ability to squad up
    • Only SIX human players.............really
    • A.I. is not an acronym I chose to describe the 'BOTS' because they are anything but intelligent. They are mindless cannon fodder and DO NOT contribute to anything. Some of them just stand there.

I could on about the negatives but then this would not be a review and just a gripe session. I'm not saying to stop playing or not buy the game. It's just not for me. I am an ArmA, Operation Flashpoint type of player.
I'm also a texture artist and mission writer.

What this game needs (In my own opinion):

    • Heavy customization for weapons, pilots and TITANS

    • I'm talking about colors, materials, camo, shield enhancements, ammo types, custom ammo belts, helmets, boots, chest rig, backpack, uniform, face shields, sunglasses, goggles, melee weapons, choice of heavy TITAN weapons

    • FREE FORM face creator (i.e. Tiger Wood PGA 2014), Skin tools (for PC)

    • At least 6 more maps

    • Sandbox map editor

    • Ability to play as a 'Specter'

This is just to name a few. I truly believe this game would stay around for a very long, long, long time if this were implemented over time. Look at IL2: Sturmovik 1946. That game is 10 years old and people still play online to this day!

I'll keep trying to fall in love and feel the 'addiction' everyone is talking about. As for now I am taking to the skies in my Messerschmitt Bf-109G-10 to destroy some bombers.

    - HORRIDO!

Hi Spek, what level are you now?

Because I'm just gonna address a few of your points here:
    • Loadout customisations start at level 4; as per the now usual MP levelling, weapons, abilities and equipment are unlocked at different levels; for both pilot and Titan.
    • It's 6v6 - 6 Human players PER team.
    • Skins are sort of there, but based off weapon classes: Rifleman, CQG and Sniper.
    • 15 maps on release. Not sure how you're only getting 2
    • There's a Burn card that disguises you as a Spectre
    • Treat the AI as the fodder they are. Kill them for Attrition points and to get your Titan faster.
    • Make sure you're not on the ground too much, ESPECIALLY if you're taking on the Titans. The hgeavy weapons aren't nerfed from experience, you just have to use them effectively in certain situations.
While I would welcome the ability to customise cosmetics, I think the aesthetics of the game are fine as they are. Focus on the gameplay.

Okay so after a few more hours and reaching LvL 12 I can see the benefit of this game. I recant all of my initial review and deeply apologize to the developers. I really love the R-97 SMG with the suppressor!

I still would like to see more cosmetic customization like the PC game BLACKLIGHT:RETRIBUTION.

Skins tools is just a dream but if it were to take I'd be elated!

    Thanks guys!

I think i am at level 26 and i still dont know how to review this game. i would give it somewhere between an 8 and a 9 outta 10. But if all you want is online multiplayer i would give it 8.5 - 9.5 range. Game is fantastic but still a lot of room for improvement.
