I bought this game Wednesday and let the thing download on my Xbox 1. After giving it a day to download I come home after work expecting to play on Thursday. Try and keep getting this Connection to servers timed out. Try Friday and same crap. Try tonight and the same crap. The farthest I get is to the load out option and I choose the titan and as soon as it does that it says attempting to reconnect and in which I know im already screwed. I am tired of waiting and I tried all the options that they have told us. I downloaded the patch, restarted the Xbox 1, changed servers and went back but still no luck. My internet is not that slow and it plays COD smoothly. I JUST WANT TO PLAY THE GAME P.S. Beta ran smoothly and it was great. IDK why this is giving me crap!
At the main menu did you try changing the server? When I tried playing the first night I couldn't connect. 2 days later I realized that the server I was trying to connect to was the European server so I changed it and now it's fine, other than horrible server connectivity
What area are you in. I am in Seattle, but to date I have not had an issue. I wonder is it could be related to your ISP?
Did you delete/uninstall the beta? When I installed Titanfall from the disc I got errors. I deleted the beta and everything was good after that.
Yes always I log in a change servers. I heard this might fix it but no luck unfortunately. Keep getting server lost after I get almost there
I use easy USA server. I am in tn. I usually log in and it chooses server and I change it to something like Japan and than back to easy USA.
Have you checked your internet up/down speed to see if there's an issue there using one of the "speed test" sites? I've had no problem since the game launch, save for a few lagging seconds here and there. I always see 5 bars as far as my network connectivity goes within the game. Except for the initial launch day where I couldn't log on (early Tue AM), I've had success on NA-East from that day forward. Cheers
Heres is results on speedtest Ping 40ms download speed 0.64mbps upload speed 0.63 mbps All other online games play and run smoothly. I play cod no problems. I have tried the hard reset on xbox one which they suggested it. Nothing happens I deleted Beta version. Nothing happens I reset router. Nothing happens I downloaded patch. Nothing Happens I added the router ports 80, 88 and nothing happens I changed servers multiple times. Nothing happens I do not know what else to try...... I get to the map loading screen and get to choose my setup for the guy and my titan set up and it reads Connecting and goes in a circle and than it reads Retrying connection Connecton to server timed out.
You might have to give a call to Microsoft support. If this issue has persisted for this long, I would definitely recommend pursuing professional help from them.
Wow, I'd take Chaz's suggestion and seek MS support at this point as you've pretty much done all you could have at this point, especially since none of your other games are affected like TF is for you. Cheers
Heres the update. I did in fact call ms support. I talked to the first woman and told her EVERYTHING i did. She told me bluntly that i saved her alot of work as i did everything she was going to suggest. She than transferred me to a communication expert and i went to my account and deleted some unverified contacts email, phone, etc. He had to go to lunch so i only got to talk to him for a minute after he got back and i had to leave. He than sent me some more ports i had to open which was the last 3. I am about to try and open these ports and try again. I uninstalled the game last night and reinstalled today with the patch that was required but nothing yet. Same Lost connection to Server after i choose my setup about to play. Ill see if these ports fix it but if not ill give them another call tomorrow. I think it is a little more than technical as i tried every single little thing so far. Wish me luck!
Well thats it.... I have done everything possible and still no success. I havn't even played a single game since it came out and i feel like i threw away $60. This "technical" issue is alot bigger than it seems. Thanks everyone for the help.
Hi Forty, I'm not sure if you're reading this thread anymore, but if you are, are the download and upload speeds you quoted a typo, or are you really getting less than 1Mbps up/down? download speed 0.64mbps upload speed 0.63 mbps
Yeah, I caught that too. That's obviously your problem right there. I don't even think that's the minimum requirement for any Xbox Live online/MP game.
Yeah, I know. I've got cable running at 25/6 Mbps and I even have lag sometimes at that rate due to all the devices in the house. Hoping he just typed it wrong but it looks like he copied it right off the speed test site. Cheers
Yep, I know. I'm running cable and getting 25/6 Mbps and I see some weird stuff at that rate probably due to all the devices in the house. 95 percent of the time though TF has been great for me. He did say COD plays fine so that only furthers the mystery. Cheers
His upload speed is sufficient, but not his download speed. I know even DSL pulls more than 512kbps, which is about .6mbps. I'm pretty sure a stable live connection nowadays requires about 3mbps.
