I don't know why I never thought of this before. I fully plan on using this method from here on out!
psh you just saw this method. scrub random. also i think in the patch they kinda nerfed this right? maybe I'm wrong.
That's hilarious. XD Though it would suck if you accidentally hit the bottom of the ship and landed right in front of your exploding Titan.
FYI - Nuke ejection and smoke won't destroy the ship alone now. You need teammates to also shoot it, or shoot it beforehand.
I've found that the ship does have a weakpoint! The engines at the back of the ship seem to take a lot more damage........or at least they seem to take more damage to me anyways
Apparently dropping a Titan on it doesn't work... Though as it just so happened, one time I dropped my Titan as the ship was just about to teleport out- and it was blown up by a chaingun just as my Titanfall dropped through it- so it looked like it was me I'll have to go through my recordings to see if I still have that moment
Pretty sure they did after the beta. The Nuclear explosions tend to go out horizontally more than vertically (or even dome-like, like you would usually see these types of explosions) If the ship isn't low enough and hasn't sustained enough damage, the ejection usually isn't enough to take it down. It might be different with the Massive Payload card though, haven't tried that yet
A quick question kind of Off Topic as its NOT about destroying the Drop Ship but Twice (SO FAR, On Three Towers) I have managed to FALL right through the Drop Ship when trying to Evacuate, I'm just wondering if anyone else has had the same issue? Both times has been when the Ship is beside the Building that has the Steep Ramp? I jumped from above the Ship & fell straight through to the Lower part of the Map which means I had absolutely NO CHANCE to get back up to the Ship! Same happened to anyone else? Its rather Odd!?
You can't go thru the top of the ship in my experience, you will fall right thru. You have to hit the jump button while you're falling and going thru the middle/bottom of the evac ship.
I wondered if the ship had a weak spot. Anybody else that confirm this? I will be shooting at the engines now either way though.
It quite simply doesn't make any sense especially when I can Nuclear Eject below the ship & end up inside the Evacuation ship so why shouldn't I been able to get into it from above!? I'd love to see what Respawn say about it?
"We wanted to keep the game balanced." I'm just guessing but it seems to be the PR thing to say when there's no real good answer.
