Forgive the alarmist title but I can't find a match in Hardpoint anymore. Are numbers declined to this or is it a server issue. I literally go away and make tea and there are maybe two people waiting patiently in the lobby - then one of us quits.
I usually play after 8PM pacific time and never had this issue. My worst wait time had been about a min in any game mode with the exception of the campaigns which generally makes sense as there's not too many players.
To me, it definitely seems like the players in the game have dropped off pretty significantly. I think we'll see another small surge once the E3 information is revealed.
During peak play time hours 8pm to 12 am Eastern Time, I dont have any issues at all getting into games. But on off times, like in the morning it takes a few mins to find a match sometimes. Granted I live near NYC, so i probably have a bigger pool of players online.
Thanks for the responses. I'm on European servers so numbers shouldn't be a problem - unless people have just stopped playing. Very frustrating.
I have noticed an improvement over the past couple days. Not sure if they made some tweaks to the match making. But it seems better lately.
In response to your latest post, @BOOSTkdv, I also feel that like I have gotten in to matches even faster in the last couple of days, and the teams have been more even. I wasn't going to say anything about it though since I have played so little lately (I need to wait for my new glasses since I get headaches from playing ) that it is of no statistical significance. But I also need to state in response to the OP that I have not seen that at all. Admittedly, I play more Attrition and Variation Pack, but getting on a Hardpoint game does not take much longer for me. Though again, I haven't played many games lately so that can just be coincidence... I live in Sweden and the server I get is usually "Western Europe" or whatever it is called. And I say "usually" simply because I don't normally look at that so I'm unsure of whether it ever changes. I work for a living, but since I currently work part-time, I play at any time I feel like it, though mostly in the late afternoon (at UTC+2). And I haven't noticed any significant difference over time-of-day either. Campaign is another matter. Quick Game holds it's promise and practically always gets me in a match right away with no waiting time at all. However, when that first match is over, it's a 50/50 (well, not really that bad of course, but that's what it feels like sometimes) chance of getting to play the next game. This is a relatively new experience, but I can't say with any certainty when it started. What I mean is that before (say a couple of weeks ago), when I had played that first game, I just got to stay in the same team until the Campaign was finished (or until we all gave up and left due to getting to play the same bloody map over and over with different opponents, but that's another matter). But lately it seems more and more common that my team just gets dispersed after one or two games, and I end up waiting for players in a new Campaign Lobby. No idea where that comes from... Edit: Forgot to say that I play on PC.
An update on last post. Today It has been totally impossible for me to get into any lobbies at all. Note that I don't mean waiting in a lobby, I mean waiting to get in to one. Even getting to the Private Lobby takes forever. I tried Hardpoint, Attrition and Campaign with the same result: I got stuck at the big box screen that just says "Connecting..." and nothing happened. Finally I tried a new approach and selected "Join game" from the Origin Friend List with a mate that was already in the game. Titanfall started but after the main menu, I got the "Connecting..." box again, and then I was in my private lobby (alone). However, this time I could go to the Campaign screen and start Quick Game with no problems. After that everything was smooth as normal, and I played four matches before my headache got too bad. I sure hope that this was a temporary issue, because I spent about 30 minutes today before I even got to a lobby
Do you have the DLC? I wonder if the game is having an issue pairing with people who have the DLC and people who don't. The player base may not be that big. I bet Respawn will just start adding the DLC maps in for free. I paid for the season pass. But I wouldn't mind if they did give the maps away for free if that means better connections and faster match making.
Yes I have the DLC, but it appears to have been a temporary problem. Or you are right and there just have come on more players since earlier today Anyhow, I just started up Titanfall again to check if I had the same problem, but no. No waiting for lobbies, and no waiting in lobbies either. I tried Attrition first and waited about 20 second in the lobby before the game started. For Domination it was about 15 seconds.
Anywhere outside of the USA seems miserable for matchmaking in most games. I know for gears of war 3 only like 30 people ever played ranked at night around Europe lol. I haven't played in ages so I can't comment on USA matchmaking but I assume I'd find am tahc instantly.
Exactly! Those peak hours are usually the only times I play (besides 4-5) but EST I always find a game in no time besides pilot hunter! I guess it is the high amount of gamers in EST.
