90% of time im killed its with that stupid pistol. I think it needs to be nerfed down IMO or completely taken out!
I presume you mean the smart pistol? I'm killed by the 101 more than any other weapon, with the shot gun and 97 probably falling into 2nd and 3rd. Getting stepped on while attempting a rodeo attack is probably 4th...
HAHAH do I need to specify which hand gun!? Common sense says smart pistol. I just bought this game the other day and already sick of runners running around with that pistol
I feel your pain man. Use the cloak with the power cell to recharge it quicker. Don't stay still either. If they can't lock onto you it takes away the purpose and use of the pistol. As a pilot I try to stay away from open areas.
I had a bad game last night! Kept getting killed by Titans, sucked big time. Get rid of the Titans cause they killed me soo much!!
The auto pistol could well be OP however no-one spams it so it flies under the radar but I have dominated dudes with the 97 and the shotty at CQ with that thing...and a bit of luck ha!
I have a solution for you: "Move" While the SP does well against new players or players with poor mobility, Against more experienced players the SP only excels really at the strategy of silently picking off grunts and speeding up your titanfall time, then engaging pilots with your titan. There are a slew of other weapons better suited for Pilot vs Pilot gameplay at a higher level. (Carbine, shotty, smgs, G2, Hemlock) I like that the smart pistol is different. It's a completely new type of weapon in a completely new type of shooter and I hope it's here to stay. Players who clean up with this weapon against good teams deserve their props.
And I kept getting killed by enemy pilots every night! Let's get rid of the enemy pilots and replace them with Friendly huggers and call the game SarcastaFall!
But seriously, the Smart Pistol is actually one of the weaker Pilot vs Pilot weapons. It's shorter range than most most long ranged weapons, and it takes longer to kill than most short range weapons. It's mainly a grunt-killing tool, and it is very good for that- but the idea it's too strong against other players is just laughable.
The Smart Pistol is a Deadly Weapon once you learn how to use it. And with a perfect pilot loadout its even a Deadlier Combo. I used to hate that sucker cause afterall it was a pistol and it took like 5 tries to actually take someone down making them aware that I am shooting at them in the process. But then, I practiced. I started shooting it on grunts and I kept moving the whole time. You gotta move very quickly and try to use the wall hanging and wall running frequently. Now, I am way good at it. Can shoot down guys easily with it. Its deadly and I prefer it on maps with a bit of open areas and also confined spaces with a interiors like the map RISE.
the only thing I find laughable about it is the hiding pilots waiting to lock on because 90% of the time the have no skill and that's how they get theirs. So it is annoying to b killed by a hiding camper with a smart pistol but at the same time I laugh it off "like really that's how u have to kill me, lol"
The Smart Pistol is great for grinding grunts and specters but against Pilots it loses to almost every other weapon in a gun fight I don't think it is over powered in fact I almost consider it under powered for a Pilot Primary Weapon
yeah, try to play "marked for death" , and try to runaway from 3 nabs with smart pistol.It's a weapon for idiots.
The only times I've been killed by the Smart Pistol is when the other Pilot snuck up behind me, or when I was using it myself. In both those cases literally any other weapon would have done the same job, only faster. It's great for taking out grunts and when using the frag lock-on combo, but you really need a situational advantage to take out other pilots. (Cloaked on wall, erratic parkour, titan rodeo, etc.). In a fair fight, it loses to basically every other primary excepting the snipers at close range. (And even then, snipers still tend to carry the autopistol, which will beat the SP even considering the time taken for the weapon switch.) I'm not saying you can't do well against other pilots with it, but you'll be at a major disadvantage against players of a comparable skill level. Don't get me wrong, it's a fun little weapon, but it's not something I'd use when playing to win.
