Gonna start it off small and make a big list of things that people can look at for some stuff they may not have known! 1. You can hack enemy Specter's. Doing so will let them fight on your side. 2. When ejecting from your Titan, you get two extra grenades. Use them to get some extra damage on ground forces!
How exactly do you hack them? My tip is to wall hang! Holding LT will wall running will cause you to hang and stop there. Super convenient for taking down titans or ambushing pilots!
Definitely stay moving and stay up high! Camping or running around on the ground will get you shot (or stepped on) SUPER fast.
There's currently an "edit limit", but let me look into adjusting that for the Elite Pilots usergroup.
Sounds good. I could have sworn I was able to do it before, but I guess that limit is what is stopping me from seeing it now.
Ride your enemies titan and try to break them while you have your titan ready but you havent called it yet When the enemies titan will almost get destroyed, call your Titan and jump from the enemies titan and let your titan land on it and destroy it @@ Thats why its called Titanfall
I call it "Peek A Boo" when your about to mantle if you hold "aim down sit", you will just hang there and you can look around. Good for looking for enemies while having showing less of your body. Would be good for call outs.
Sorry for the double post, cant edit. It also works if you just jump towards a ledge and hold ads, you will hang there.
This thread is intended to provide new and experienced pilots tips and tricks to help them to dominate the battlefield and have fun on the remaining days of the beta and to hopefully extend when the full game goes live. Lets start with the pilots: Movement: Okay titanfall is nothing like other fps games (first person shooters) in titanfall you have 3d movement allowing you to ascent onto higher positions and descent to lower positions and strafe left to right ( titan dashes). You do not want to fight on the ground at all the ground is a dead zone in titanfall and you will have a large chance of been gunned down from other players in buildings on top of buildings and in cover and also other pilots who are on the ground, titans will also chew you up and spit you back out titans dominate the ground so stay clear of been on the ground when those titans start falling . Wall running and jumping from buildings to buildings also allows you to navigate the map quickly to let you get that speed advantage on those titans and pilots. GET INTO THE HABIT OF STAYING ON HIGH GROUND!!! Player vs Player: When you go against other pilots in rooms or in tight spaces do NOT be scared to use your surroundings to get that jump on your opponents. So if you are in a room and are facing off against another pilot use your double jump get across walls and get that jump on them it will greatly reduce your chances of dying and make you feel proud when you jump kick or pile lead into your opponent. When engaging down range with sub machine guns and assault rifles make short bursts this will reduce recoil and increase accuracy when shooting downrange or engaging in rooftop battles. Your tactical is also your best friend it will help you out in almost EVERY situation on the battlefield so do not be scared of using it to give you that tactical edge. Pilot Burn cards: Now I personally enjoy a wide array of burn cards to give me the tactical advantage on that playing field, Personally I enjoy running with 'most wanted' this allows me to get my titan deployed quickly and allow me to dominate the ground or open areas in my titan now as most players don't bother about buildings and cover this allows me to get a lovely score boost for my team and disrupt enemy team movement and plans. second I enjoy running with 'Rematch' I personally feel this is a beautiful burn card and when I am gunned down by a pilot I can jump back in that fight and give me a chance for sweet revenge. And last but not least 'ghost squad' this ability allows me to be permanently cloaked and gives me a beautiful advantage over enemies and blowing titans up I strongely suggest running with ghost squad as it is also straight up fun running infront of titans and they do not notice you Tactical ability: These are the bread and butter of this game they compliment playing styles and again give you advantages against titans and pilots. Camo: this allows you to be invisible against titans and so if you want to cover ground plagued by titans or want to go titan hunting use this and they wont even notice you whilst you get to a good position to lay down our enemies. Stim: this gives you increased movement speed and faster health regen very good ability if you need to get to a advantageous position on the opposing teams or need to get to that hardpoint or that EVAC to get those extra points. Now I think I have the pilots covered ( sorry if I missed something out I am very tired in making this still very good information for pilots ) Movement : Now you probally know that titans are not exactly the fastest object on the battlefield but they are still very agile especially those dashes. When you are moving across the map try and stick to open ground away from buildings this is because it helps reduce the chances of been rodeod by enemy pilots giving you more time to dominate the ground. Dashes now this is when the fun begins in a titan you have a active ability known as a dash this allows your titan to cover ground extremely quickly and evade attacks from other titans and anti pilot weapons, I strongly advise that you save your dashes when you feel you are going to be up against player vs player encounters mainly because the dash is important and been able to strafe allows you to dodge those critical and heavy damaging attacks to your titan. Titan vs Titan encounters: When piloting a titan you will undoubtedly come across other titans who want to rip you out of your cockpit and kill you. When you fight against other titans you will want to smash through there shields as fast as possible the shield is the only thing stopping you from turning that titan into a tin can , after you have gotten through the shields you will see the enemy titan have red areas highlighting its armour you want to spray everything you have in your disposal into those areas they are critical hit areas and when you put rounds into them they will do increased damages and shrink that health bar considerably and when you doom there titan go in for the melee and rip that titan apart. Vortex shield this is probably one of the best titan vs titan ability you can have it allows you to 'catch' enemy projectiles ( bullets, missiles) and throw them straight back at a target and cause massive damage if you time this ability right you can doom a titan with no shields with one blast ( the titan may of also had to taken damage to its hull) . I like to save the vortex shield for when the opposing titan uses his ordnance ability and catch those missiles and throw them back giving that titan a taste of his own medicine and leaving holes through his titan and ripping its armour off "how romantic". Titan vs pilots: When you are piloting a titan you will most defiantly get harassed by pilots who want to doom your titan. i have personally found that the best way to deal with a pilot who is harassing you is to bring him into the open ground then he will have little to no cover and allow you to gun him down when he next pops his head out. Electric smoke this is Respawns gift for been rodeod by enemy pilots whip that smoke out and laugh as he is electrocuted to death and dies from been stupid and thinking he can rodeo you!. Thank you for reading and i hope that you find this guide somewhat helpful. if there is anything i have missed or anything you would like to improve upon please tell me and i will try and edit this post and adding in those things Good hunting pilots!
