I'm a pretty serious gamer, probably have over 1million frags across all the first person shooters I have played since Doom1, but games like BF4 and TF... i just can't fucking see people fast enough to get to that elite level. Its pissing me off. This was never an issue with older games which didn't camouflage people in black and have TONS of rendering details to obscure your vision. Do i just need to stick this out and play a whole hell of a lot more or change my video card settings. Its pissing me off that moderately good players own me because of awareness. Does anyone else have this issue? Its really ruining my experience here.
Ha! Predictable, but I'll pay it. BTW if you've been "fragging" since the original doom I guessing your probably not seeing as well as you did might of in years gone by, I got glasses last year and it improved my ability to detect movement in the very instances you're talking about. You see, I wasn't just trolling you dude, but you have to admit, you tend to turn up here whining about something.
i have experience also that with battlefield4 cant see them coming but i only have that problem with titanfall in one map
Yeah I'm with the Sarge here, I've been gaming for over 20 years now. About 2 years ago went and had my eyes tested, needed glasses, gaming is a whole different world now. The optomitrest (spell check) said it's from looking into the distance on your screen. Ie your screen is X far from your eyes but you are trying to look Y distance in the game.
There are many reasons not to see players. I am so old My eyes feel like mole eyes. no question that glasses make a huge diff. It is all about contrast enhancement in lending color areas. But that only accounts of probably 20% of my deaths. Developing the 6th sense of where players hide and knowing what the natural camouflage of the game offers the enemy is where it is at.
Interesting! Is it that your eyes are constantly refocusing on larger and smaller images (short range to long range gunfights/sightlines)? And yea... I stand up while playing and I'm known for leaning in my living room when I'm trying to look past cover in-game! Sometimes I'm even sweating after playing intense games for a hour lol. (My eyes also can't see 3 feet infront of them and my glasses are 1 week away so... I basically have to be very close to the TV)
Exactly right, the Eye Doctor, said pretty much exactly that. He said he was a tester for Sony back in the PS One days. It's the constant re-focussing of your eyes that make them deteriorate. I'm also an avid shooter so looking through scopes wouldn't help either.
Have that problem bad on 27' pc version, that's why I much prefer xbone on a 65'. Almost done for good on pchit version.
Lower size screens do have some advantages though.. more competitive since you move your eyes less across the screen for data like radar/ammo.
I passed @ 20/20 still but my eyes don't focus exactly the same, glasses would help slightly and I'm wondering if that might make a huge difference. But gmaes today have a lot more detail and contrast and its much harder to see targets than the good old 1999 days. Sometimes I just want to fight rather than constantly search.
Get ufc, no searching, all fighting. Then I'd have another noob to play with online instead of getting my ass kicked lol. Seriously though, ea access is best deal in town if you're on xbone, could even sell your TF and BF4 copy cuz they're on there free!
I've noticed the difference in Halo:MCC. When I'm generally playing the campaign, I use new graphics, but when I actually need to find something, I switch to old graphics. Way less cluttered.
