parties makes sense for matches, but not for public play when good players can completely wreak the balance system and take advantage of everyone else for hours. You're allowing some people to have fun at the expense of others.
as i understand it he means that Parties in Public games doesn't make sense because you have the advantage against Random Teams. I do not really agree with that statement because does not matter if its group or not. Playing with friends certainly gives you more enjoyment than playing on your own with random people.
@TI sucks. That also depends on what you and your party are out for... blood or fun. You know, you have some that just want to annihilate any and everyone in their paths and will settle for nothing less...(this is not my group). Then you got that bunch of guys that are of average skill levels where winning won't happen every time and those games when you just barely lose (not from any lack of trying) is just a little less satisfying than a win because you had so much fun...(that's my group).
Some of my best console multiplayer experiences have been in public lobbies when folk are chatting to each other. My loathing of public lobbies came from CoD when I was introduced to the 13yr old l33t player group that seemed to be the offspring of the KKK and nazi party. I'd rather chat, but not be wailed at by some kid who thinks casual racism / sexism and mother jokes are perfectly ok..
