Here is my report on my experience and time with the Doom Beta. I died, alot. Like heaps. I was dominated. Pure and simple. I suck. The end.
I struggled as well. I was having a problem getting used to non-regenerating health. I also never really got a feel for the weapons, but I had very little time to play it. I finally got some games in Sunday evening, only to have it end at Midnight. Why is it every time there's a beta I really want to play, I'm busy?!
There's been this overarching ethos of move or die in doom, well, this guy gets a 40-0 killstreak and camps his arse off in the process. Also uses the tech in the game beautifully
I love this game! I'm unsure of the MP still, but I'm having so much fun with the campaign. There's so much content to it and replay value that even if you never touch MP, you will get your money's worth!
Agree wholeheartedly, I feel like they missed the mark a little with the MP but I have not been impressed with a campaign for a long time. This game for me is measure in its purity, the "feel" of the game is unsurpassed. It is quite wonderful.
