Hello Fellow Pilots- As most of you know there was some news posted by Respawn today in regards to what we can expect coming into 2017 for the game. https://www.titanfall.com/en_us/news/frontier-news-network-6/ First to be mentioned is "Live Fire" - a 6vs6 intense, pilot only mode on very tight maps or "Death Boxes" as it was referred to in the article. There's also a new coliseum map and new pilot execution, but my favorite overall is the ability to create your own mix tape! So stoked to see this in action. In ending they do make reference to releasing more remastered maps and how we should now have a better sense of how the game will be supported post-launch. Remember to have faith in Respawn Pilots. You forgot None of the Above. If they don't have new maps I'm gonna start playing something else...this is just plain retarded....only having the maps we have. I'd rather pay money for DLC's
Thanks for sharing this Mecha! I appreciate it. If they do the create your own mix tape right, that could be a really, really good thing. My biggest frustration right now is that I only want to play Amped Hardpoint and it is pretty much dead on the PC. TF1 had an alternative for this where you could play the multiplayer campaign and get almost 50% of the games being Hardpoint Domination in a predictable pattern. If this would allow me to select Amped Hardpoint and Attrition (even though I really don't care to play Attrition in TF2), and enough other people selected those as well, where it would at least give me an opportunity to play Amped Hardpoint for about 50% of my games even when the actual Amped Hardpoint lobby is dead, then that would be an extremely positive improvement. The only problem I could see that would keep that from working well is if they leave the matchmaking stay the same. For example, if you play Angel City 24/7, which is supposed to be a mix of Bounty Hunt/Attrition/Amped Hardpoint, when a game ends it sucks you back out and creates a brand new match with no regard to the game mode you played in your last game, so you end up getting Bounty Hunt 3 times in row. If this would allow me to pick Amped Hardpoint and Attrition, but then give me Attrition 3 times in a row, then no thanks. They really need to build intelligence into it so it remembers where you came from. You should never have to play the same mode twice in a row in a mix tape. And you should never get the same map twice in a row in any mode other than Angel City.
I'm really looking forward to Live Fire. I've always wanted a Search and Destroy-esque game mode in Titanfall. Makes for very intense rounds and fun matches.
you forgot to add none of the above , hmmmm go figure let's put out a new mode that features pilots vs pilots in a game that is called Titanfall , noting new with titans wow .great another map for coliseum , wow did not see that coming lol. this is disappointing. the only thing i saw / read on the site was a dev saying there are things that are still top secret as this was more exciting to read that the actual dlc info they announce , not even a proper date .
Yeah, there should be a minimum of 3, but really they owe us about 10 to get to where TF1 was after it's first DLC, because that would put us at 20, but since Crash Point and Complex should have never made it out of the concept phase, it's really only 18, which is where TF1 was with DLC1.
Yeah, Pilots vs. Pilots was dead right out of the gate, so lets do a round based version of that on tiny maps. Uh, OK. Makes sense to me. NOT.
Excited for the new dlc, but, even I wish they'd add a couple of maps for the regular game modes.. Although "including remasters of more maps from Titanfall" (future dlcs) is positive. I love coliseum mode, and a new map here is good news. Make your own mixtape, welcome option. The LTS style pilot v pilots if the rounds are short enough could be good, organising a good team spread of weapons (as long as the whole team dont hemlock and A-walls) Pilots be pilots was probably my favourite mode in tf1, I must say it's good in tf2 ONLY when the match is not killed by all the hemlocks, A walls and......god damn pilot - frickkin- sentrys everywhere. Overall bitter sweet on the new dlc: Thanks Respawn on the creative new content, but please, add a couple of maps for regular game modes.
Where is the Titanfall community I remember?! People that had trust is Respawn and were optimistic and supportive. I know TF1 was amazing and TF2 will never be what that game was. But it was a completely patched & polished game. Face it guys there is NOTHING else like this out there. I don't know about you but even with its quirks I still love blowing shit up and raising hell on the frontier (even if I'm not great at it ).

IK, I mean no disrespect but if that is what you want why not just go play COD. This is Titanfall not Pilotfall. This whole DLC announcement is really frustrating.
I have beat this issue to death in other posts - but the concept of Titanfall was based on Titan warfare - or did I miss something! It is more than disappointing - it Sucks!
Clearly this is an effort to appeal to "Tommy Two Thumbs" and his COD friends! Also it was a less costly way to say they are giving us something for our "free" DLC's - yes garbage!
I'm really happy to see the Create Your Own Mixtape feature, as I think it'll solve a lot of problems for me... but I'm a bit perplexed about the pilots vs pilots mode & not announcing a new map for the traditional modes. I don't have any desire to play Coliseum, so that doesn't really appeal to me. I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt because of the holidays, but I'm hoping we hear more about modes featuring Titans, new maps, new weapons, etc soon. [edit] That being said, I'm definitely willing to try out the Live Fire mode as it sounds interesting. Would I have preferred a Titan-based mode? Definitely, but I'll give the mode a shot before completing shooting it down.
...Coliseum not for me either and I keep getting these free tickets, I think I have over 30 that I will never use, perhaps I can trade them for one of those really "sexy" banners! When you get on a slippery slope things go downhill faster and faster Respawn and you are slipping badly!
As most of you know I am also not a pvp type of pilot as my Titan is where I really have fun. But I do see a need for a more competitive form of play - especially for all these pros yelling for a leader board. @DARK BAWGS I am so sad to see you losing interest as you have always been very optimistic about the game At this point I will continue to support Respawn and their decisions - as I believe EA is pushing some of them since the game has not been as financially successful as they had hoped. I am still thankful for the people I have met and the experiences this game has allowed. I just want to see this "roadmap" they speak of. "Everything else is still highly classified, but hopefully you are starting to get a sense at how we’re planning to support Titanfall 2 post-launch. Soon we will reveal our roadmap for the next couple months that will have more maps [including remasters of more maps from Titanfall], weapons, modes, and more."
what's up guys . yeh granted it is new DLC an this is all good a well as to having content in the game but i mean but Really. while live fire is new in titanfall all it is is a pilot version of LTS , LAST TITAN STANDING . this should have been in the game at launch not stretched to make it look like special DLC , i too will try it out also but it's not what i got titanfall for . i play titanfall for the experience of playing a big ass robot / mech suits that i can call in to battle and face off in a bloody hell epic shoot out in a massive battlefield . i be like , oh you got the the base / hard point huh , i got some thing for you BOOM drop my titan in , you got titans i got titans lets go ! , all the wile i get that feeling like when i was a kid watching Robotech hearing the music in my head wile playing . giants fighting giants , big guns with pilots and grunts all around fighting . the raw feel like i am in a tank suit of armor , the ground shakes when i move as i charge to my objective with my team and crew battling it out on my left and right . oh how i want that warzone feel again . the mix tape is a great concept and also this is how it should have been , as IMO again the game was rushed hence the tweaking as when i first saw this mode in game the first thing i thought of is how come we cannot select what sequence or modes we want why do i have to play modes i don't like to play . so as for the mix tape modes being able to pick the modes i like, to have a fresh rotation as i play, since the matching changes games every time and i am not up fighting the same gamers every match i say go for it . am Down . the matching making is all over the place any ways . this is not ground breaking DLC , what are respawn thinking , were is the content for gamers that play titan fall for what it was design for TITANS VS TITANS VS PILOTS VS AI GRUNTS ALL MESHED IN BATTLE . i am disappointed , as there should have been content for all the modes if that not pilot vs pilot forcus modes . heck ask one's self what is the most played mode in multiplayer . not Coliseum ! and IMO pilot vs pilot mode is not even the most played . so why would they give info on modes like this . HECK if playing Coliseum was to unlock a special skin or camo or weapon i could understand the concept of using a ticket to get in the mode to battle to unlock some thing but please tell me what is the reason for this really.
