hi there pilots i was wondering, why must a pilot earn the use of the titan's core? it's part of the titan's weapons, so why earn it? damaging pilots or titans? it should just load on certain time, for example in 15 seconds is the core ready, simple
I think it's a good discussion Derrame. I know in TF1 it felt just about right. Your core was just based on your chassis, Dash Core for Stryder, Damage Core for Atlas and Shield Core for Ogre. The amount of time to get the core and the duration of the core felt just about perfect. In TF2, I have mixed feelings about it. These cores are all pretty much different versions of a Damage core and are so overpowered that if used correctly, they can almost instantly take down another titan. Therefore, they should definitely have to be earned and not gotten very frequently. However, the reason I am mixed is because I suck in a titan and I usually never even get to use my core. Actually, what usually happens is it says my core is ready right as my titan is killed. In my opinion, I don't think the cores should be so overpowering. I would prefer to see all core damage cut by 50% across the board.
then, we must earn the use of weapons, because they are overpowered too, if an enemy pilot shots you and kills you
Yeah, I agree Derrame. I think you and I should get to start with weapons and the other team should have to earn their's. Let them run around a couple minutes and kick grunts or something before they get their weapons. What do you think?
earning the core by beeing skilled makes an unbalanced game even more unbalanced, because, skilled players will have the core earlier, just like the boosts, and if the core is ready only as time passes, then unskilled players will have the core eventually and not so late and then they can be a bit more powerful and regain some points
