I just purchased this game yesterday, because much like the first Titanfall, it looks like a game that might have a steep learning curve, but where investing the time would be well worth it, because it would be a very satisfying game to play once you got the movement down and learned how to pull off some crazy moves that are not even possible in Titanfall due to the ZERO G in certain places in Lawbreakers.

I'm still viewing the tutorials and playing in the sandbox and I'm probably going to remain there for a couple weeks to a month, because I want to feel extremely confident in my movement and knowledge of my weapons and abilities before sticking myself out there in front of live veteran players. I know it will probably be frustrating even then, but at least I will have a foundation to build on and it will teach me the areas I need to improve. If I stuck my neck out right now, it would probably make me feel discouraged and overwhelmed and I don't want to do that before I even get started.

Just thought some of you might be interested in checking this game out and was wondering if any of you might already be playing it and what you think if you are. The one thing I am a little disappointed with right off the bat is that I wish the normal ground speed was similar to Titanfall and that you could double jump and wall run as in Titanfall and then add the ZERO G stuff on top of that. When you are not in ZERO G, it does feel a little stuck in the mud to me, but maybe I just need to learn the game better and maybe my opinion will change. Or, maybe certain characters allow better movement that I might enjoy better. I don't know yet.

Anyway, here are 3 nice trailers for the game:

I just wanted to give a little update on this, because now I've had about 6 days to mess around with this game and man! I gotta tell you. I would highly recommend it. What attracted me to it was the potential movement capabilities and it does not disappoint. It does have a fairly steep learning curve, but I think it is really going to be worth it. I have not even ventured into the multiplayer with any live action yet. I've been watching videos on how to use all of the weapons and abilities for my class of choice, which is Titan, and on how to improve your movement. I've only played in the tutorial area called the Sandbox, where there are only some AI that just stay staitionary and most of them don't even shoot at you, but this is the perfect place to learn and practice your movement and aiming. I am becoming more and more confident every day. I plan on spending about 3 more weeks in the Sandbox, so I can try out each of the different classes enough to know what I like about each of them. I also think the best way to learn how to defend something is to learn how it is used, so I want to have a good idea of what I am up against before ever stepping into live action. I think the time I am spending is really going to pay dividends, because it's been less than a week and I would bet that I am already approaching an above average player movement-wise at least. It has some REALLY cool movement possibilities, For example with the Titan class, if you are out in a ZERO G area and hit your back button, "S" on a keyboard, it is like having jets coming out of your feet sending you upwards while moving backwards. The Titan's primary weapon is an amazing rocket launcher and you can do this thing called Blindfire where it is like you are pointing it back over your shoulder and firing it and it propels you in the direction you are looking, so imagine you are looking straight up, it is going to launch you up in the air so you can reach higher vantage points. Also, with Titan, your one ability is called Pulverize, with leaps you forward and slams you down on the ground where you were looking, doing damage to opponents near where you land. So imagine you had maneuvered yourself up pretty high and then used Pulverize on an enemy below. it's really quite a cool game and for me personally, I think since TF2 does not appeal to me and the TF1 user base is really dying off rapidly (mostly cheaters and bully packs left), I think Lawbreakers is going to provide me with something really fun to transition into.

Oh, by the way, now that I've had time to learn how to move better, my statement about feeling stuck in the mud doesn't really apply anymore and it's OK to not have double jumping or wallrunning.
