    Hi

I really think about getting Titanfall 2, I loved Titanfall 1 and I like the addition of a SP Campain.

But my question about this: I liked the immersion in Multiplayer when playing the campain, with the two sides and the Story connected Missions.

TF2 now has a Singelplayer campain, does this mean that there is no immersion creating story anymore wich is connecting diffrent Multiplayer Maps and the two sides fighting against each other ?

    Yes, you are exactly right.

TF1 had an outstanding Multiplayer, which did have an immersive campaign story, because they focussed on the the Multiplayer only.

TF2 has an outstanding Single Player Campaign, because 80% of the resources were poured into that. Therefore, the Multiplayer suffered, there is no story to it, the maps are smaller, the environment is not rich, leaving it feel empty and not alive as TF1's Multiplayer did.

Yes, that is exactly how I feel. The SP in TF2 provides about 10 hours of gameplay (20 hours if you play it a second time). No matter how good it is, its not going to give you much more than 10 to 20 hours of gameplay time. The MP in TF1 (and I'm not just talking about the Campaign portion, but the entire MP), has provided me with somewhere between 4000 and 5000 hours of gameplay time and still is and I am still not bored with it even in the slightest. With regard to the TF2 MP, the only reason I played it for more than 30 hours (figuring 2 hours per day for about 2 weeks) was me trying to force myself to like something that just was not enjoyable to me.

It is no wonder that the MP suffered by including a SP. Vince Zampella even makes that case in the quote I included in this thread:
    http://www.titanfall-community.com/threads/tf3-the-case-for-no-single-player-vince-makes-it.8475/

My hope is that going forward, he listens to his own words and that they say to themselves, "OK, we proved we can make an outstanding Single Player if we wanted to. We got that out of our system and have nothing else to prove there. Now, let's get back to making the most awesome Multiplayer only game that anyone has ever seen."

Keep an eye on the price of TF2.
I admit, I preffer TF classic over 2 but with that said I don't feel like it was a waste of money.
If it goes on sale for a cheap price, buy it. Maybe even buy a second hand copy on disc.
The campain was great, I've played it twice.
The multi player lacks but the pilot movement system is quite good once you get the hang of the slide hop.

I absolutely agree Battle. If you can pick it up on sale, it is worth it for the Single Player Campaign alone. I've always said the SPC was outstanding. I think Frontier Defense was really done pretty well too other than limited maps and having to repeat the same maps multiple times in a row. So to get the SPC and FD for pretty cheap would be more than worth it.
