Looks like EA is at it again.......lol This is exactly why the Titanfall community is not looking forward to the resp.....errrr........easpawn....purchase... Here---- >. http://ftw.usatoday.com/2017/11/ftw...ature-controversy-characters-unlocked?ref=yfp I can see it now. You want a certain Titan...gonna have to pay for it baby... Oh....like that camo? Cash first por favor....
I'm not sure if I said it here, but I've been pretty emphatic about it on the official forums. If it is a good game, I will happily pay for anything and everything they want me to pay for in the game or for any additional content later. If it is exactly like TF1 or based very strongly on it, I'm willing to pay for every little piece of it. If it is based on TF2 (or worse and even more casualized), then they are not even going to get my money for the base game. My point is that it is not the payment system that is important. What is important is if the core of the game is good or not. If it is exactly like TF1, you can make me pay $5 to customize my titan chassis, $5 to customize my titan primary weapon, $5 to customize my titan ordinance, $5 to customize my titan tactical ability, $5 to have regenerating shields. I don't care what you want me to pay, just make the game be like TF1 and I will pay you whatever the hell you want.
No.... sorry. We disagree on this. If I buy any game it should be complete. I shouldn't have to lose battles in a fight because someone else spent more money on add on's...which is the obvious motivation... "If u want to win u have to spend money". Mentality.. To me that doesn't seem fair. Someone in tupolo Mississippi who saved for a year to buy the same game as Rico in Southern California. Rico spends an additional $25(that's + 38%) as you proposed to update his Titan ...only for the poor kid in MS to show up on the same battlefield as Rico only to get his ass kicked because Rico had an additional $25 to spend in the game.... Sorry no..... You will never convince me this is an acceptable and level platform for all and I'm stunned you do. It's not good for anyone in the long run or longevity of the game...
TF1 & 2 have been the best bang for the buck for me in terms of playtime and enjoyment so I can understand where ENSC is coming from when he says he'll pay more for great DLC, but I don't like the idea of being able to buy an in-game advantage. I have purchased some of the camos , that are really tough to see during gameplay, just for the increased chance of winning double XP tokens. So yeah, they got me.
no, it's ridiculous to pay for every single little thing that must be free it's like pay for change every titan weapon, Atlas is locked to xo16 if you want quadreocket or 40mm cannon, pay for it if you want nuclear eject, pay it come on pay for loaduts of camos or skins? or unlock heros at day one or grind for 50 hours? one thing is to buy a dlc with 5 new maps or 5 new ships or story dlc for 3-5 hours of new story but the things i've been reading since months are ridiculous and irritating and now i read Battlefront 2 has region lock on pc, that means i can't play the multiplayer and i preordered it
Please allow me to clarify. I'm not a proponent of having to pay for everything and I am not campaigning for that. I'm just saying that none of that is important to me. With one caveat to that, with TF1 and TF2 being the perfect example, I am a proponent of having to pay for DLC, because I believe it forces the developer to have to produce a better release in order to keep people around to pay for DLC and it forces them to produce quality DLC in order to have people want to buy it. If the game is like TF1, I will buy the release and be willing to pay for (or not pay for) whatever they decide to do. If the game is like TF2, I will not even buy the release. In both cases, the payment system is not imporant to me. All that matters to me is if the core game is good or not. To me, if the core game is not worth buying (Titanic), then the payment system is irrelevant (rearranging the deck chairs).
i was thinking about it if i like the game i dont mind grind for 50 hours to unlock something but it is still an advantage for those who buy with real money i won't buy anything with real money anyway, so i hope i can unlock all or at least the things i want with normal ingame credits/currency i would buy big dlc's if i love the game, like story DLC what angers and disappoints me the most is the region lock there are no players in my region, that means im out of the game, isolated no multiplayer
I have never been a fan of "weapon level ups"............ever! I think weapons should be available for every player. Attachments, or additional items, OK, but weapons? NO. Maybe character skins or uniforms, patches , cosmetic things, maybe. I dislike having to battle against "better class" weapons simply because another player has higher skills than I do, or can spend more time playing than I can. I am fighting this currently in COD WW2. XP should be just that, experience, time spent in game, not how well you played. This was the main reason I enjoyed TF1. But...................I can wait to see if EA does the series any good.
I think we all are nervous about the EA purchase of Respawn..... And rightfully so. Their track record speaks for itself.......... Optimism is always a good thing......not necessarily an easy thing to have though...
prices are 75% cheaper but they cut rewards 75% too! that changes nothing and didn't mention the region lock on PC
News: all microtransactions are removed from the game, no more crystals to unlock anything only cosmetics great! https://www.ea.com/games/starwars/battlefront/battlefront-2/news/pre-launch-update
Thanks for keeping up with this Derrame. Even though I hold true to what I've been saying and want to remain consistent that if the game is good, any payment system does not bother me, I suppose it is good that if there was this much outcry that they listened and even apologized. Good for them!
Thanks for keeping me in the loop. His actions speak volumes of his character. We all make mistakes...he was called out in this and rightfully so...but he tucked his tail in aka ego and did the right thing...
You take that back! Derrame is on a very strict Spam free diet. I though, am quite partial to the Turkey Spam with fava beans and a nice chianti.
it seems the game is not region locked, i can select data centers i played some amped hardpoint, and galactic assault, it's awesome! i'm 2 hours into the campaign, it's like a gerat movie, no loading times, lot of action, lot of awesome cutscenes, good story so far, so many elements from the movies, so immersive i'm so happy! the game is great may the force be with you
Derrame, I know how excited you were at one point about Mass Effect Andromeda (and I was too), which turned out to be a big disappointment. How would you stack Battlefront II up against that?
What? I'm sorry.........I didn't mean to! I'm looking and can't see where I did that.l...I'm sorry...I got big fat fingers.
