I know what you mean! When I go back to playing a Frostbite engine game (BF4, Hardline, Battlefront) I experience what we call the 'fag packet syndrome' where my character seems to get stuck trying to walk over a cigarette packet. We call cigarettes fags in Scotland. It's not meant as a nasty word at all. Actually, some folk use it to describe sausages. Shame how words get twisted into derogatory meanings...
Yeah. fag means ciggie in Australia as well, snags (sausages) are also called fags, but yeah, it's weird going from fallout to cod to tf back to fallout
Been gone from TF for a few months now so I'm expecting a severe bashing when I get back to it. I'm sure from playing everything but TF for the past few months it'll be weird/funny until I get the TF muscle back into my hands & head.
So right Bruvas. Imagine how I felt some years ago (many years ago) when a young black guy from Baltimore arrives in Germany and my initial reaction to being called Neger (german equivalent to negro or black person) while sitting in beer tent during Oktober Fest. After a brief explanation in broken english and many Eichbaums (a german beer) and shots of Jagermeister later my limited german vocabulary expanded.
There is a couple of new players as well, really good ones, one guy went 29 15 and 6 deaths if I remember rightly. He was just an awesome player, however that's not what I was calling him in game
If they're in voice chat, go with smootchypoos, buttercup or twinkle toes. Not the most vicious of names, but it'll go a lot further to throw them off their game!
So in Scottish terms, if you get blocked by a teammate, are they the fag? Cuz I mean... they are technically both if they can't move their asses out of the way and I die for it...
Not quite! Someone blocking you is a "f**king pr*ck" Someone owning you is a "bawbag" A team mate not ptfo'ing is a "clampit" Most folk are bampots, fuds and whallupurs. Also, when you kill that guy that's been on you all night, you need to scream "gerritrightupeeeeee ya fud!" down the MIC.
Oh, by the way, little BO3 story, I usually go under or about a 1.0 Kd in Cod, to be honest I often go way below that, however I got host the other night, I went quadruple positive, couldn't miss. I must say though, I am enjoying having a game where I can level up again...
