I've been trying for an hour to finish the last Campaign level but evidently no one is trying for the Ogre Titan atm or they have already gotten it and went back to Classic mode. I really HATE hoping that will people join a game JUST so I can complete a campaign challenge. Awesome game but the Campaign mode isn't all that great. I advise you all to unlock your Titans ASAP before people stop playing Campaign for good.
Thanks for the advice, that's a good point. I kinda loathe going into Campaign mode but I guess better to do it now when I'm pretty much still getting a feel for everything. That mode is so half assed but I wouldn't even care if they didn't force you to play it to get all your choices for loadouts.
Yeah, that is a good point. I had been avoiding it, assuming I'd lose the Stryder and Ogre once I regenerated, but now I've since learned you keep those. A couple questions for those that have gone through it: I assume you don't have to win the matches, right? Just play through a set number of matches? Secondly, once you start a "campaign" can you come back later and does is throw you into the next map in your chapter?
They could have done it a bit better, I figured there was going to be a bit more immersion when it came to the campaign, add a little something that wouldn't be available to multiplayer. Fair enough the scripted AI was spot on during the campaign and gave me the feeling i was part of something big...until i got roflstomped by lvl 44's as a level 1. Great news is im out of my newbie levels and have unlocked my other titan and custom loadouts so now i stand a chance, I do get those odd extreme mlg players that seem to magically dance around the map and take longer to kill then some other players but meh its part of playing online
Yes and Yes, If you start as militia your forced to be militia until you have completed the entire campaign and you will be put into a campaign map you haven't done before. I was worried i needed to win the matches but it seems even if you get your ass kicked as militia through the entire campaign you come away with your Stryder and the same for IMC with the OGRE.
While I agree with a lot that has been posted, I have a more positive view about the Campaign. I hopped right to MP Classic and have had pretty good success. I then found I had"used" all my burn cards and was having little luck in gaining them back . However, today I went back into Campaign and after two rounds I have gained 2 Levels, a new weapon AND I now have 11 burn cards!!!!!! Maybe it was designed to Level a little faster than just MP, but I am now very interested in finishing the Campaign modes. Although I am not a big fan of Attrition, I am getting better and better while playing Campaign. This game just never ceases to amaze me and make me smile. Even my wife, who has been reading about the game in the newspaper, has become very interested. I really enjoyed explaining it to her.
My entire campaign, I only won one match, my first one. After that, it was a bunch of lv 2-3's playing 14-18's. And I was playing it 2 hours after release. God... Yeah, we got stomped every game, and still unlocked everything.
What I have been trying to work out is how do I know what matches did I not win in the campaign? I want to do the 2 achievements for winning all campaign missions. I know I have done 77% by looking at the achievement in smart glass but I can't be bothered replaying all of them to try and win the one I need. Really doing my head in.
It kind of sucks Titanfall PC users don't have any achievements at all which shows alot when i played the campaign everyone just half arsed it and just wanted to get it over and done with. In regards to your question about seeing your progression of said achievements thier nothing in the game availble right now, you never know they might patch it in.
This game definitely should have had a single player campaign. There is no tracker. You have to remember which ones you lost, or do them all over again. I did the latter and kept rack of my wins with a pen and paper.
It is not perfect, but I think it is a good try, much better then the single player campaign in a game as BF4, where you pretty much spend most of the time looking at a bad movie and then move down the singel path they have scripted, that is very boring. Here you get into the game right away, even if you have too wait sometimes for other people too join.
