It's not a big deal in TF2, wouldn't worry about it. You've got to unlock it first, and the game play is so fast that you don't have time to lock onto pilots effectively in a match anyway. It's use is nothing like was in TF1, to some degree, TF2 game play is twice as fast so the SP is quite useless in TF2. Good fun to have a jam with though, personally I prefer my farming anti-pilot turret though. They need, to get rid of snipers, camping snipers are annoying and camping is bad.
