    Hello..

    2 days ago i purchased a new monitor, i came from a 11ms IPS

Damn things are running smooth now, and fast

I dont know so much about spec and ms and stuff, but i have some numbers i just made, and i hope someone with greater knowledge than me can tell in which direction the numbers goes.. good or bad for the monitor in question

Glad to hear you're having a better experience! A slow response time on a monitor can be poor for gaming, but not an issue for word processing or that malarkey.

I'd go for one with a 5ms response worth a good level of display and high contrast ratio for general gaming or a 2ms/4k to show off.

If you have a 40" monitor and you sit 2 feet away.... maybe. On top of this, you'd need a fairly reasonable rig to get the game to play at 4k with a good fps. All of a sudden we're starting to talk silly money to game on PC's for no REAL benefit other that a couple less jaggy edges.

For me it's always about bang for buck - no need to double the cost of something simply to say it's better when no one would really notice with the naked eye.
