So what's you're opinion on how respawn made it to reach the next generation. I love that it's gonna take more than just getting to lvl 50. Yes some of the challenge are a bit absurd but it's gonna take more skill and a bit of luck to reach the next gen. Ok clarify something for me. I am still level one gen at level 39 but I've done all the gen 3 requirements you have listed there already. When I get to level 50 for 2nd gen, do I automatically skip to gen 3 then as well? Don't I still have to start over at one and go back up? I thought you had to go back to 50 from beginning in addition to doing the challenges, right?
When you reach lvl 50 you'll go to 2nd gen everything will be reset. Minus your burn cards and stats. You'll have to do the challenges for 2nd gen to get to 3rd gen. If you get gen 3 challenges done on 2nd gen it doesn't matter you have to do them when you're in fact the proper gen for it to count. Hope that helps you.
I've done the challenges already, all four, and they are no longer available. Therefore I'm guessing all I have to do is go back to level 50 and I'm good
so what happens if I get to 50 and I haven't completed the necessary challenges? Do I just stay there until I do? Also is this information listed in game so I can see exactly what I need as I'm playing?
I LOVE the challenges. It keeps the game fresh by forcing you to change up your play style. If someone doesn;t like them, they don't have to regen. It's really that simple. Then you wont be able to Regenerate and you'll just stay at 50 until you complete them and choose to regenerate. There is a section of the Challenges page called "Regen Requirements" than lists the required challenges and your progress towards completing them.
ok cool thanks, I've been using the 40mm cannon and got the burst shot as I have about 30-35 titan kills in it. Are you telling me once I get to gen 2 and go back to level one again, all those titan kills with the 40mm cannon are gone and I have to start all over!?!?! If so that blows
Yup, I'm a huge fan of the generation requirements. Shouldn't be just about playing a ton of matches. Really enjoy the fact that you are forced to be good with a variety of weapons & techniques to truly show that you've progressed as a player.
will my 30-35 kills with the 40mm cannon carry over toward the 50 needed to get from gen 2 to 3? Also, will I get to keep my burst cannon since I already unlocked that? I get the challenge thing but why make everything people have done reset? That makes no sense
Y Everything resets except your stats. That includes the challenge progress and weapon unlocks, so yes you'll have to start over and get 50 kills and unlock the burst cannon again. You don't HAVE to regen, and if you CHOOSE to, don't complain when it's difficult to earn an award meant to shoecase someones skill. It's not going to be just handed to you like in COD...
So.... just making sure, the challenges reset when you gen. I just gened yesterday so I dont know if my challenges stay. Do any of your unlocks on weapons stay or do you re-earn them.
Everything except your Titan Chassis unlocks are reset. The challenges all start anew. Now about 1/4th of the way through Gen 3 and regretting it. Not sure I'll do it again.
Hang in there. At first I hated the plasma Titan challenge for gen 3, but I stuck to it and learned to actually like the gun a lot.
