Wedbush analyst, Michael Pachter, doesn't seem phased at all by the reaction to the "low" player count by propsective Titanfall fans. I found an interview where Michael Pachter (the industry's biggest analyst) essentially predicts that the game could sell between 6-10 million units with great reviews. "My best guess is 6 – 10 million units, depending upon the game review scores. If it gets above a 90, it will likely be at the high end of that range, below an 80, at the low end." I feel like Pachter is being fairly realistic here. Though it doesn't have the PS3 & PS4 to sell Titanfall as well, there's enough of a marketing push by Microsoft to have it do well on each Xbox console & PC. How well do you think Titanfall will sell?
I really wonder how many games need to be sold to at least break even? I just wonder what the game cost to make? But in todays market, will 6 to 10 million be enough?
Great point. I think it'll definitely be enough, but I'm anxious to hear what the total cost of making the game has been once it's all said & done.
