Read about an interesting feature that may be in tf2, Networks. Its the ability to form large groups, and then matchmaking can take place within just this larger group. Could be a real game changer with a bunch of friends playing each other.
I'm honestly having a blast right now with the smaller population because I always get matched up with some of the same players everyday and it kind of feels like a community. Almost like that "Cheers" show... Everyone gets a certain amount of respect, unless of course you use the smart pistol 100% of the time.
Yeah I love this smaller community feel. I was recently genning up my other account at 5:30 every morning and the same players were popping up (Rexroundrobin and Ang3licallyEvilI to name a couple). If I play pilot hunter in the evening, I often run into a crack squad - evil radius, valkyrianz and sghib1986 (insanely good player). Then at night sometimes get to join an awesome bunch you may be familiar with- A-train, Rainman, Easyrider73, Evolve me.... Love the TF community!
It could be an interesting addition, especially to boost population in less popular modes. Right now it's difficult to play CTF consistently even though many, potentially interested, players are available online. They just couldn't find others to play CTF and went into Attrition. It might also help in organizing custom games or self-run tournaments. Good to see Respawn is looking into this.
I like the sounds of this but honestly... Be prepared to run into alot of try hard's... There's been an LTS tournament and there's another in the works... Been noticing alot more bickering going on between players, petty ass shit. I like to play and try to keep a cool head, I admit sometimes I react to other players innapropriate gameplay... (I T-bag tbaggers) Now this shits getting real though. People remember these things lol Hate mail galore as it is, And now I think it might increase.
