being a competitive FPS player on PC, the introduction of the live fire mode is exciting for me. It's fast paced and unique. I'm not sure any triple A game has implemented something like this. But this leaves me wondering: will they ever get back to the core elements of titanfall? Will we ever get more maps catered to attrition or bounty hunt? I personally would like to see more objective focused maps for attrition. Will any of this ever come to fruition, or is respawn pushing for more PVP combat? Right now I think it is too early to tell. Who knows maybe Respawn is pushing livefire first in order to attract more traditional FPS players, then will continue to develop the core aspects titanfall. only time will tell......

I forgot where I saw it but one of the developers said that they're releasing Live Fire because it was a lot of fun to play with internal testing and it was the closest thing to being done. I have full faith in Respawn to keep on releasing content.

Same here man. I don't like all of the negativity in the forums, if you hate the game I respect that but the way games are released nowadays (looking at you sw battlefront) you can't really judge a game till a year after its release

then they should not launch an incomplete game , that or be straight with the consumers with what the direction they are going with. especially with loyal fans and supporters.
these are the way games are launch nowadays because when gamers don't voice there distaste when they don't like something they will keep doing it under the presumption it's ok when it is not.

i agree that battlefront only after a year it's content has gotten interesting. but you have to take into account of all the critic the game got from launch good and bad , likes and dislikes . and because of this the dev's made better DLC to add to there product. but what happens to the gamers that left and sold there game and moved on to other games due to the lack of content . a game can be great but with out players to play the game it's just a disk in a case , what would be the point of playing a game if the user base drops off who do you play with when this happens .

this is the same mistake that respawn made with part 1 ant the content was great but too late the user base drope off and started playing other things . some came back but it was not enough .

have you ever played a game called Enslaved Odyssey to the West
this was IMO a great game , but due to AAA games launched at the same time this game was not noticed to gamers out there and a Epic story and series was lost . if they made a remake of this game and even a part 2 i would line up for this .

agreed, it does look like the game is focused to more pvp , and i do hope they make a buff to the attrition mode , even better i hope they look more into the style of the campaign/story mode multiplayer they had with a side story while playing as a faction or group . with maps changing due to the outcome of battles . game modes like battlefront latest DLC with fighting in one arena and transition to a different mode with a mix on how battlefield 1 did with there game as the battle progress the game changes in story , all the while playing an epic battle with the faction of choice.
only time will tell only time will tell .

I think it's a complete game, it may not be as good as tf1 but it's complete. In comparison battlefront on release had 3 maps and no campaign, that's completely different. I think what Respawn is attempting to do is improve on an already finished game. The amount of DLC released for battlefront is too much to be completed in a year. I think by launch they already finished the third DLC. That why I give Respawn the benefit of the doubt, while the season pass for bf was half the price of the game, guess how much the season pass for tf2 costs

One of the things I really think would be interesting is make it so that a stim or phase shift pilot in the 6/4 faction looks completely different to a stim/phase shift pilot in the ares faction. 6/4 pilots look more war torn, giving off the honorable mercanary vibe while a pilot on the apex predator faction looks more savage, with like animal skins or war paint

yep agreed , the factions should have had different pilot models each faction. even faction weapons , example if they used the r201 and the car for example as base models and each faction had there version of the weapon just a spicific look and sound but function the same i would be ok with that. to me it gives the players a visual choice and eliminate the balancing for too many weapons like what they did in battlefield 4 and weapons just not being used .
this could go for faction based titan models also each titan for each faction will have a faction titan model and even titan AI voice.

This was so well said Trini my boy. Great job buddy!

I would also like to address this faith and negativity issue. This is entirely my opinion, so I am not stating this as fact, but it is what I believe.

    1) I believe and have faith that Respawn is CAPABLE of doing great things. They have proven this to me by creating my favorite video game of all time, TF1. Also, by creating an amazing Single Player Campaign.

    2) However, when a company does something good or even great once, especially since we are paying hard earned money for their creations, they do not even get one free pass and they do not deserve blind faith.

    3) Even though I have faith that they are CAPABLE of doing great things, with all of their most recent decisions, I am losing faith that they are willing to or even have a desire to. Their complete unnecessary overhaul of the multiplayer to appease the traditional FPS crowd was a slap in the face to those who loved the beautiful uniqueness of TF1. Not to mention it created a GIANT waste of resources to unnecessarily change almost every core function to do this. Their use of the "free DLC" propaganda to allow them to put out an incomplete release (9 small maps and actually only 7 decent ones) was a disgrace. Their latest deafness to the LOUD outcries even from those who like TF2 that there is a desperate need for more maps is shameful. The fact that by March there will still only be 11 maps (9 if you don't count the 2 garbage maps) is absolutely disrespectful to the users and pathetic.

    4) Because of these reasons, I believe there is not only not too much negativity, but not near enough outrage and backlash. They should be getting chastised left and right. And I am frankly sick and tired of people defending them. I wonder at what point do the defenders realize that they are hurting their own credibility by doing so?

IMO the game was not complete , example the new live wire mode , this could have been in the game at launch and i take into account the way the game was launched, Titanfall 2 is the first AAA game that launched the same year it was officially announced . all of this in a matter of weeks give or take a month or 2 in between . but is a first of it's kind to launch a AAA game in this way. there are many little things in the game that shows that the game was rushed to market . and even more evident to the time they launched.
the campaign was great and could be better and part 3 story if continued will be epic.

but i do thing the game may have been rushed even doe a lot of things may have been completed there were simple things that should have made it in the game and was not. just my opinion .

The different "skins" for the different factions would have been a nice touch. Along with weps and other stuff. I have always found teams like to look the same when they get together. Either skins, caps, faces, a sense of belonging is key to enjoyment. Like the Yankees and their pinstripes. Then maybe you could have taken your vanilla wep into a "workshop" of another faction and have it "spruced up" a bit . I don't know...................I am not a game designer, but I just think small changes are just as great as huge ones.

Yeah, I know Trini definitely agrees with you. He has been championing a lot of ideas where they could have done a lot more with the factions.

The problem is that Respawn has no time. Their are too many new games coming out in next few months. To make it now PilotFall and forget about the Titans is not a good idea. I bought this game for the mech (Titans) based combat.

    agreed.
weapon work shops in game as faction would be cool to see .
but to as for the faction models for each faction is very plausible , and i think they may have had this concept but not enough time to implement.

I took into considerations with the faction idea with balance and having depth and a sense like you said a feeling off belonging to a faction, and with this my concept was to pick at least 1 or 2 guns/ weapons in each bracket as a vanilla weapon and each faction will have the option to change the appearance or even select that weapon from each class and it will function the same as the vanilla weapon the only difference will be the look of the weapon and sound . the same concept with what they did with the PRIME Titans the model looks completely different but they function the same .

    respawn-entertainment-hethe-srodawa-hethe06.jpg hethe-srodawa-villains-presentation.jpg william-cho-jester-female.jpg

picture each of the robotic pilots as a faction. for each type of pilot class .

    Grapple
    Halo
    Cloak
    A-wall
    Pulse blade
    Stim
    Phase Shift.
and picture a Titan for each class designed to look and represent this faction.
with weapons to match also in each weapon class , assault rifle , SMG sniper, shotgun etc etc. each with it's own unique weapon model . but function like the vanilla guns / weapons.
IMO this will give life and more meaning in selecting factions. and something to work towards as far as unlock goes and content. .
even a step further , the maps can be based on faction designed maps to reflect the home team .

Camo can be for all to unlock and to apply like normal . but also faction exclusive camo can be applied.

Below pic can be a design for a pilot for the Aries Faction.

    regie-santiago-kane-knife-pose.jpg

the 6/4 can have pilots designed with how they are in the game using the style of helmet that Jack Copper has . with some different design to the body armor to represent the class being played . maxresdefault.jpg Gates1.jpg

Agreed, too much negativity in the forums these days, used to be a place of sharing tips and experiences (nostalgically glances in the distance thoughtfully:rolleyes:), and was a great atmosphere, but now its just a lot of slating.

Hell, I agree the game is frustrating at times but you gotta work with what you got. I'm loving the positive aspects of it. I'm certain it'll evolve.

When I see good, I will be positive. TF1 was the best video game of all time. If I had been here then, I would have been mostly positive as well. Also, the Single Player Campaign was amazing. They did a great job on it. However, they don't get a free pass. They need to be criticized when they make horrendous design decisions, put out an incomplete game and turn a deaf ear to people (even those who love the game) who are getting bored with the tiny, miniscule amount of small choke-pointed maps.

If everyone just gets the pom poms out no matter what they do, then they will feel no need to ever improve and they will just believe their horrible design decisions are OK. They're not. And frankly there is not enough criticism of them at this point.

Believe me, I want nothing more than to whip out my pom poms and shout from the rooftops how great something is that they've done, but aside from the Single Player Campaign (which only occupies about 10 hours), they have not made a good design decision since October 2014.

My pom poms are firmly in the cupboard, Yes there are things in this game I dont agree with, ticks/sentrys/red glow etc etc, on and on.. but I'm enjoying the good things about it. And there are a lot of those too.

I accept the changes to the titans, it cant be tf1 remastered.

Also there are other forums and social media that respawn will be listening to, and there are good and bad comments all over the place.

You cant please everyone, its that simple. But they do listen to feedback. We just wont all agree on the outcomes.

I don't accept the changes to the titans, because they were completely unnecessary. And I don't accept that argument, because there is absolutely no reason why we couldn't have moved forward with the 3 titans exactly as they were in TF1 and then maybe added some new ones, but with fully customizable loadouts. It was just such a GIGANTIC waste of resources to make so many changes that didn't need to be made and should not have been made. The TF1 titans were better, stronger, faster and it should have been more of that, not less. They should have been put onto even larger maps and had even more speed and strength on maps with large walls on the outside like parts of Angel City and the titans should have been given the ability to wallrun. Instead they went the exact opposite and wrong direction and slowed them down, made them weaker, took away their regenerating shields, took away their custom loadouts and made them less fun and enjoyable to play in. The game is called Titanfall, so the titans should have been beefed up and have been even more of the centerpiece of the game. Instead, they slammed the breaks on, slowed everything down, crammed everything into smaller, tighter maps, made titans less of the centerpiece all to appease the traditional FPS crowd. What a monumental waste of what was a beautiful, unique masterpiece that allowed unbelievable freedom and self expression. If they had gone the right way, it could have been even more of that in such an epic way, especially in the titans, but now it is like slowly plodding around in a piece of cardboard on tiny maps. Yuck!

I also accept your opinion, and still stand by mine. Tf2 is certainly a devisive game!
