Whenever I hit "play" in the main menu, it says "matchmaking..." for about a minute then says "Server error (408)". I know this means it's timing out, and it works whenever I join on a friend. I've tried turning DMZ on in my router (didn't work) running Origin as an admin (didn't work) and a variety of other things. I'd go with the "join on friends" thing, but I don't have enough friends to be able to use that reliably. Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated; what I think I need is some way to force the connection to try for longer (even when it works, it takes a while to do). EDIT: This has been a consistent problem for the past few weeks on every server, not just US East.
As I stated, this is a problem that has been happening consistently for the past week. The server issues that occurred yesterday had nothing to do with me getting the error.
