Disclaimer: There is debate about whether this is accurate or not. I will update if it is found to be inaccurate.

If it is accurate, someone shared a link on the official forum that is pretty awesome. It shows the statusses of all TF2 servers including pings. If you click the "More" button at the top, it shows you the player counts broken down by modes and platforms. Really pretty cool if this is accurate. I know DARK_BAWGS would probably really appreciate this, because I know he tried to collect some of this information manually himself at one time.

When it shows 'ping', I'm assuming that is measuring my ping to the server? If so, that makes absolutely no sense because there is no way I'd have a 29ms ping to the London server.

I just noticed that at the bottom of the page it says that the ping is measured from Czechia.

Thanks for noticing that. It is a pretty cool idea to put this together, but maybe not so useful if that is where it is measured from. Perhaps someone savvy here might be able to figure out how to do the same from somewhere in the U.S.

Anyone can do it if they wanted to take the time. You just go to switch servers at the start up menu, and it tells you the ping of each server from your location.

You could always screenshot the data centers, and compare the ping from different places in the world if you had others that would also be interested in tracking this.

On one hand - I love the idea of a server monitor and that sort of thing.

However - I have questions that I didn't see answers to on this:

    1. Is it real-time?
    2. The player count numbers, according to the person who made this, are not accurate. If they're not accurate, why have them there?
    3. That part of where it's located should be at the top and more clear.

My reason for saying this is - the average person is going to go glance at it, and then go off half-cocked because they think it's all 100% accurate for them, when it's not. It just feels almost like it's more fanning flames than providing useful information.

By no means am I bashing on the person who made it, I'm sure it was done with the best of intentions. We just all know how things can be interpreted on the internet.

Good point Laddie. That would be one way of doing it.

Yes, exactly, I completely agree and that is why #3 is a very good point.

Yes, I agree. I'm sure this person meant well and actually did an excellent job for what they were trying to do, but if it is not completely clear what the picture is showing, it could be misleading. It would be excellent if Respawn, or some savvy person would be able to provide a similar site that you could go to and see live data and measures that would be based on the location you are hitting the site from. It is a really nice idea this guy had.
