its sucha great weapon. in maps that are dark or mistly, it picks up your targets for you because it turns red. When you get the range add-on, it makes quit work on pilots that don't see you from afar. When you're up close all you have to do is jump to make the shot extremely difficult for your opponent while you can sit back and wait 1 second for that lock and take your time to make the kill without aiming. You can use it with cloak to enhance all of the above and virtually hack for free! Thank you TF For adding this great weapon into the game and making the rest of the weapons for suckers. I just went 26-1 with this thing, its amazing!
My pilot k/d ratio took a knock, however my k/d against grunts sky rocketed! Would never trade it for the 101 or CAR.
Always forget to hop like a bunny when I use it! Then someone kills me with it while I'm trying to get a vertical bead on em. Then remember... oh yeah... that's how you use it.
The smart pistol is very OP, its a noob weapon, requires NO skill and ultimately ruins the game.. Why work hard and practice w/ another gun, build it up, figure out what other weapons complement your style of ply when all you need to do is equip a smart pistol run and hop like a bunny. I hope in TF2 it is gone or so nerfed no one uses it. Im tired of 10 yr olds camping till the see another pilot, then its BUNNY time Get some skills and use another gun!!!!
Personally, I am a fan of the Smart Pistol and a lot of people give it so much shit because it is "OP". Well have you ever thought of the fact that it has a severe range limit and the farther away you are from your target it takes longer to lock on, in that time frame that you are completely defenseless and at the mercy of your target and their accuracy while you are locking on? If someone is proficient enough with it and has all the maps memorized for wall running routes, yes, it can be a very overpowered gun. But all you need to do to deal with people using Smart Pistols is keep your distance and watch your ass. Every gun in the game except for maybe a Suppressed Shotgun will out range its lock on range. You can even Sidewinder a pilot and kill them with it before they get into range. It isn't very hard to deal with. Cloak will break and reset it's lock on time and slow it by half. That can turn into a almost 6 second time frame that they have to wait before they can kill you and that you have to get a good shot or run up and kick them Which is plenty of time, or you can pop Stim and survive the full lock on from it. Unless they are smart and throw a Frag and shoot the Frag cause it locks on to live explosive munitions. Then your just fucked if they can time shooting said Frag. I can keep going on this but I won't. That's all for my little rant on the Smart Pistol. All and all, it is a lot harder to actually use effectively then you think it is.

First, thank you for a very well written, non aggressive or verbally attacking response, as I was expecting. I did not know, or reviewed, the limitations to the pistol. And I am sure it is a fun gun to use if your not playing in COD MODE...camping. that was mainly I played against yesterday, and it was horrible. Some kid I spoke to today told a few of us that there is a "cheat" that can be purchased for $4.99 that removes all the statistics you posted in your response to me. It is downloaded to a Usb, and if you understand some basic computer programming, is easily accessible to use in the game. Now I have zero knowledge in computers, I am to old to learn or care..lol but if it is possible and true then you can see why so many ppl bitch about this pistol. Human nature always encourages us to strive for success or to be the best, most wont violate any form of morale codes one lives by when fully acting in a true living world, now that it has become virtual, ppl tend to view such minor offenses, like cheat codes in my day, as no big deal, a minor infraction. These kids never consider some of us invested $100 or so in each game we like, and cheaters just ruin it greatly for us who dont.
No problem. Ive had PLENTY of time using every gun. I have over 160K Pilot kills in the whole time I've owned Titanfall on just one of my accounts I play on. There are plenty of quirks about every gun that people will most likely never notice. Like the Mag Launcher and Amped Triple Threat is fired, they will veer towards a Pilot using a Spectre Camo burncard.

A smart pistol post can be so dumb sometimes. Now don't get me wrong I don't mind a good debate of pros & cons with a real person but oft times the post seem to come from trolls that just join a group/forum/community somewhere with some bogus name or if the name does link to an xbox account 9 times out of 10 they have no friends and their activity is blocked so you can't see just how much worse of a Titanfall player they are then I am. I mean damn don't you think you'd be better received at dotcom sites like I Suck @Titanfall, SP Iz 2 OP 4 ME, or you can even look into some type of therapy... holy crap... call Dr. Phil. Or you could just do some grown-up stuff like come to the realization that "it is what it is", stop all that infernal whining about something you have no control over. If you come here (Titanfall Community) to b!tch & moan about a product we've all bought from Respawn. We take our game home, play it and have mixed reviews. One person likes the game, and the other person... maybe not so much for whatever reason. I like playing the game so I find a place with others that like the game and get some advice and tips that make the game even more enjoyable...great!!! Then someone thats dissatisfied with the game pops up complaining. If you have an issue ask questions that start with words like... "How should I", "Is there something that", or maybe even... "How could my complaint be best directed". But noooooo... you get crap like "this game sucks", " I want my money back", "it's too op", "it's not op enough". I mean if you dislike something enough in this day and age, just as easily as Titanfall Community was put together, a Lets Bash TF community can come to be where basher of all different types of things meet and bash in earnest. Maybe my way of thinking is off but I just feel when I go somewhere that I enjoy with people that enjoy the same things and a select few will troll in spouting B.S. about one thing or another. I'll just find another way to vent my frustrations when dingleberry decides they want to stop by to piss in my morning bowl of Titan Flakes.

I'm back to complain again, 90% of the time the sp is a non-factor but when you have a good player that prefers it, its nearly unstoppable if they know how to plan attack angles. The only counter is distance weapons, but guns like the SMGs and shotgun are largely inferior, really just sad. Not to mention how good it is at farming minions
I'm getting a lot better at this game, but every once in while i see a good player using it and i have next to know counter because I don't lke distance weapons. IT just have no place in a game that is supposed to be a skill-aim-shooter.
