Sitting here looking at the news and watching my city, My Baltimore burn. Not as bad as the riots of 1968, but just as disturbing. Sad day here in "Charm City".
Everyone present and accounted for. Cable is out I'm sure because of the fire so no Titanfall. But, by the dawns early light, and a quick survey I can only liken some of these areas to what remains after a hardpoint battle. The dawns early light signifies a new and hopefully better day.
Watching CNN right now. wholey crap! Its pretty bad when the bloods and the cryps come together to help stop the violence. Just watched about 50 ransack a liquor store. Human nature huh " destroy your home"
So happy to have cable and internet service again. The city is slowly returning to so state of normalcy. I remember the riots of 1968. I was 9 years and afraid because I just did not know what was happening. 47 years later and being afraid again because this time I KNEW what was happening.
Crazy what they are doing. I get the outrage for what the police did, but degrading the protests into 'rob anything you see' isn't the right way to express what you have to say. It just gives the police officers more work arresting people and gives the rioters a even worse reputation, not sympathy.
Yeah, I'm just glad that things are finally getting back to normal. We (Baltimoreians) have a long road to recover from this in so many different ways.
Yes it was. So glad things are slowly getting back to normal. Can only give hope and trust in the justice system.
