If you're like me where you like posting stuff that chances are has been talked to death already but you still wanna hear what people have to say about it regardless, then you're very welcome to post here because right now I'd like to talk about Titanfall 3, what we want and what I hope we get.

Keep in mind, some of these are going to be MY idea's but I know many people already who agree with me. If you have an idea of your own or your own thought on my idea's I think you know what to do. I mean we're on a forum after all. This is kind of the place to do it. I originally thought some of these idea's would never happen until I heard that EA bought out Respawn. Whatever your opinion on that is, some of these idea's are more likely to happen now because of that. Also let's not make this about EA, we're here to talk about Titanfall 3, PERIOD!

    Fun fact
: I originally made a post about this on forums.Titanfall and ironically it was the one the admins decided to f*** with and cause me to leave but that's a topic for another time.

    • Do Customisation Right!: Let's not sugarcoat it here. The customisation options in the multiplayer for Titanfall 2 were pretty lame. I mean some of the camo's were cool, don't get me wrong but they had an ample opportunity to nuts here which is ironic cause towards when they stopped giving big updates to the game, they DID go nuts but unfortunately they could only go nuts with weapon camo's. I guess this is just another case of the game development crunch times but I think I'd honestly rather have a short amount of camo's that looked awesome vs a large amount of camo's where only some looked good and whether or not it looked good depended entirely on what you were applying them on. Hell, let's bring back the varying voicecast and have your titan have interchangeable voices! I found playing Titanfall fun as hell playing with Ryoko (the Japanese titan os) and it made me feel like I was playing one of my Japanese animes! (100 internet points if you get that reference.) While we're on the subject, I'd also like to state that some of the pilot models attributed abilities don't make much sense. Like for instance, why would you give the invisibility ability to one of the big, hulking pilots on the team? And how would a Stim ability work on a robot? It simply doesn't make sense! I know some people might call that nit picking but to be totally honest if they just gave you a base male or female pilot and gave you all these abilities, I don't think it would change a god damn thing!
    • Give Factions A Purpose!: You all saw this one coming. Don't lie. In fact it even ties in pretty well to the previous point. Aside from getting a neat pre-match piece of dialogue and have the leader commentate and notify over your match. There should be a good reason to join a faction other than just getting extra creds and a banner. Like hey! How about a customisation option depending on your level with a faction? How about if your with Angel City Elites you have a pilot that looks like a space trucker like from the movie Aliens. Or how about if your with the Militia your pilot looks like someone who just came back from Space Vietnam and looks like he's seen some serious sh**. Or maybe if your with the ARES Division you have a pilot decked out in the latest high-tech gear.
    • A Multiplayer Campaign: People didn't really like the multiplayer campaign in Titanfall 1 and I can respect that, because they were right. It kinda sucked but you can't deny it was still fun and unique in it's own right. Imagine for a sec if they brought it back but then did it RIGHT! You know how Evolve had an adapting sort of campaign and depending on who won the previous match, the next match would be totally different? Well why don't we give that a try here? Why not create a Multiplayer Campaign with multiple varying scenario's conclusions depending exactly on who wins which matches? Like say the IMC had to move troops through an area to burn down a town for harbouring injured Militia troops. Say the IMC won, let's have that significantly lessen Militia minion spawns in the next match. Or if the Militia pushes them back, that mean's the IMC has to deal with extra Miltia minion spawns next match. Or maybe the Militia was trying to bomb a Titan factory and the IMC had to push them back? Say the Militia won, that should lengthen Titan build times for the IMC next match. Or if the IMC won, then I think the first titans you call down should start out with extra health and shields. You could do A LOT with this idea and I sure as sh** hope that they at least give it a try.
    • Make Big Maps: Whatever your opinion on the maps are. I'm just going to go ahead and say that most of the map design's in Titanfall 2 kinda sucked. I mean not all of them, some of them like Complex, Eden and Drydock were all pretty good. All the other one's however like Crash Site, Homestead and Exoplanet kinda sucked though. I think they actually knew this too because in the end they ended up only developing ONE original map, the rest were ports from Titanfall 1. (not counting Livefire maps.) Let me just say right now, if your going to develop maps for a game, develop from EXAMPLE and don't be afraid to be CREATIVE. Don't literally port the example into the game! That's lazy! And it ultimately shows you don't put any confidence into your map design's.
    • Put Some Love Into Your Soundtrack!: Say what you will about Titanfall 1, but it's soundtrack was simply goose-bump inducing. You know how the universe Titanfall is set in is known as 'The Frontier'? Well the soundtrack did a pretty fantastic job at making it feel that way. Let's take a fantastic example here. Welcome To the Marauder Corps set the tone of the game very well. When they called it the Frontier they were referencing how it was wild, uncontrolled and unknown much like the Wild West of depression era America. There was a great unknown and uncertainty about it, just like the Frontier. While some of the tracks in Titanfall 2 aren't bad, it doesn't really have remotely as much feeling to it as Titanfall 1's. Actually the majority of the soundtrack just makes me think of 'That Mech Game.' The wild west vibes were thrown out the door and it's pretty much just a sci-fi'd up game with sci-fi'd up titans and sci-fi'd up vibes. They can do better than this and I certainly hope that they do. I'm not sure they realise just how GOOD they got the soundtrack in Titanfall 1.

Now that you mention it, I do remember that.

Those are some really great points. I never thought about it that deeply, but you are exactly right. I just always thought it showed how they unnecessecarily waste so many resources. Why would you let this guy spend this much time and pay him to end with something that just looks cartoony and that could have been done 10 times better by just a computer graphics designer? Rediculous!

And for God's sake, why does the cloak guy have to look like a fat hairball? :) Good thing they probably wasted days making a model for that non-detailed cartoon character.

Yes, you bring up a very good idea here. What would be great is if there was a Multiplayer Campaign similar to what was in TF1, but where there would be an ultimate objective and some interim objectives. Let's say there were 9 maps as in TF1, but both teams would start on the middle map. For example:

    1 (team A's ultimate objective), 2, 3, 4, 5(Start Here), 6, 7, 8, 9 (team B's ultimate objective)

So if team A won successive games, you would move to maps 4, 3, 2 and then 1.

If team B won successive games, you would move to maps 6, 7, 8 and then 9.

However it could go back and forth, like say team A started out strong and it moved to 4, 3 and 2, but then team B got on a 5-game winning streak and pushed it back to 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7. It could go back and forth until either team A wins on map 1 or team B wins on map 9. It would be more like an actual war.

    Amen to that.

Yeah, you are right. Even the loud almost metal clashing sound when you start the game. I still love that. That's just one more little thing I hated about TF2. When you started it, it was so quiet.

Yeah, I don't think they realize how they had so much right in TF1, otherwise they would not have thrown so much of it to the curb.

Oh, I completely agree with you King. If I could give you 1000 Likes I would.

Seriously, if anyone objectively really sits back and looks at every facet of TF1, when you consider it was the first game this company had every made, it is mind blowing how much they got right.

I came at it from the other end of the spectrum. I had never ever played a Multiplayer FPS game before and I was horrible at it. I can remember walking onto the Colony map and getting shot from the rooftops before I could even take 2 steps. However, even then, there was something about the game that spoke to me and I knew that if I was willing to invest the time to get good at it, it would be worth it and man was it. It was and still is my favorite video game of all time.

That is exactly what I mean. There was something different about it. I had played a lot of FPS, and never had as much fun. It did have a learning curve. Especially the "jet pack" jumpy stuff! LOL...............but overall, it was FUN! AHHHHHHHHH memories!

    Me, too.

I'd like them to fix some of the stuff that kills suspension of disbelief. Like Ronin swording people in buildings, or when you throw a firestar, but then die, and the firestar just falls straight to the ground instead following the trajectory it was on after you released it but before you died.

There's so much of this nonsensical stuff in the game, it's infuriating.

From a game where you're Piloting an unlimited amount of giant fighting robots that fall from the sky.... I don't think you can use the 'nonsensical' argument.

This is coming from a TF1 veteran and don't get me wrong, I absolutely loved TF1. They could remaster the game and do everything you just said @Kingkat54, it would sell decent and have the same shelf life that the first two games have had (it wouldn't do any better), it's a niche game. It doesn't grab a large population of casual gamers, no matter what. Even when they try to cater more to the casual player in Titanfall 2, it's still too complicated for them to understand. My friend literally said "there are too many things to remember and too many buttons when I'm in a Titan".

I'm gonna make a big, separate post with what I'd like to see in Titanfall 3 a bit later, don't have much time right now.

I appreciate the compliment, but I also think that since ,as you say, a remastered game may only sell as well as TF2, then why not do it? It would have kept the TF1 community and players around and playing......? Making separate games, just ,IMHO, splits and reduces the players. BTA, they didn't ask for MY opinion when they developed TF2....................oh well. LOL

They wanted to innovate their franchise, they have a track record of doing this. Part of the reason I love this company is because of the innovation they make between games. CoD2 feels drastically different than CoD4 and that feels drastically different than MW2 and they were all amazing games in their own right.

It makes absolutely no sense to remaster a game when they were focusing on delivering a new game with a new experience. If you want Titanfall 1, you can still play Titanfall 1.

When you say "TF1 community" that's talking about me as well and I loved Titanfall 2.

I respect your opinion as always Ik0n and I know you loved TF1 as much as you loved TF2, but in my opinion, you are a rare breed. For example, I am always making comments (for over a year now) during in-game chat about how I believe TF1 was better than TF2 and not only have I never had even 1 person disagree, but to the contrary I receive feedback like, "Yes!" or "Absolutely!" By they way, those comments are unanimous across the board coming from people I've never run into before as well as some of my most despised enemies. I mean there are some players who when they see me on the other side they about lose their minds with rage, but the one thing they will agree with me on even though they probably hate that they agree with me on something, is that TF1 is better than TF2. Plus, even though some like to dismiss it, I think what the "Project Nessie" video guys brought up was a big deal. Their main point was that TF2 is not conducive to the competitive environment and I believe that lost a large portion of the TF1 community.

If their M.O. has always been to create a different game each time, that's fine, but I think it is a big mistake to not look back and realize that you had captured lightning in a bottle and that maybe you might want to revisit what was unique and magical about that creation.

As always, not looking to change your mind Ik0n. We can just agree to disagree as we usually do. :)

Titanfall 1 & 2 are my all-time favorites, nothing else comes close. I'm Gen 27 and feel like I'm just getting warmed up with TF2, there's so many different weapon combos and Titans that I haven't spent enough time with thus far. Haven't even touched the campaign or run the gauntlet yet! I wouldn't mind if they went back to the washed-out, darker look of the TF1 maps for TF3, even though I don't mind the brighter colors of TF2, kind of a toss-up for me.
