With update 4 officially out with new challenges and other goodies to work towards I have been working for a certain insignia. Rising Star I believe where you finish 250 matches in the top three of your team. I am at 205. The past few games I have played however have left me more than a bit confused. Sense when do grunt kills count more than pilot and titan kills? I was beat by a guy who had a 3-9 kd against my 7-4 simply because he had 17 more minion kills than me. I know your amount of deaths can affect your rank in that team but minion kills from what I remember never really affected much at all. Trust me. They used to be all I would kill because to be honest I couldn't much of anything else. I was never in the top 3 because of the minion kills I would have gotten. Anyone who can do the math or just knows better than me any feedback is much appreciated. Thanks for your time guys!
Deaths don't matter. Minions = 1pt Pilots = 4pts Titans = 5pts 4x3 = 12 + 17 = 29 7x4 = 28 + 0 = 28 So not knowing Titan kills.. he would have had more Attrition points than you... assuming you're playing Attrition.
So +10 to your score would be 38 and he would be at 34. Do you have a screenshot of this? Because I've calculated the scores before and it usually works out right.

The Other Guy: PK-3 TK-1 MK-31 D-9 His score: 12 + 5 + 31 = 48 Me: PK-7 TK-2 MK-14 D-3 Your score: 28 + 10 + 14 = 52 Technically, you should be above him in the scoreboard if that's the scores you saw, but there's a possibility that one of your titan kill was during the epilogue. Titan kills after the match completion do show up in the scoreboard but won't count in the total. On the other hand, there's been a discrepancy in the attrition scoring system where if you total your kills, it would be short of atleast 3-5 points on most of the games. That's been reported to EA / Respawn who said they've forwarded the issue to the developers but they are not responding to any update on this issue. Overall there's a serious ranking issue in the attrition scoring system. Pilot kills should be the second priority in the ranking after the total points. That is if 2 players have the same score, the highest pilot kill player should get to the top. This is not happening now. Every other game mode has it right except for attrition. Hopefully, they'll fix this issue in the upcoming patch #5 which is due on 31st.
Turret hack wont give you any match points but turret kills will (1 pt) which gets added to the minion kills.
