Maybe someday I will will get bored with gen 10...but got a long way to go. Working on my last two Titan insignias. That will keep me occupied for a bit. Need 5 more stars for marked for death. For a hacker like me it is hard to get the two or three stars per map required to get a total of thirty. I only just started MFD. Go figure, I went for two years and never played that mode. Definitely paying for it now.
I've got two insignias left too, frontier defence and goosers. Marked for death is a great mode but sometimes can be frustrating, you get patches of marked pilots that appear on the other side of the map, and teammates whoop em before you can get there! Great when you can get in there first though!!
Dare I say it......you could smart pistol the sh!t out of attrition a few times for the MVPs, minion farming galore!
Spare Titan cards are clutch in MFD, just saying. I only need 4 more Titan Insignias (easy ones, just have never done 'em like hacking spectres on Corporate) and 10 more challenges. I need 1 more star in MFD as well lmao. The challenges are also easy, just was never a big fan of melee combat on my way to Gen 10.
Back when there were actually people playing that game mode (Australian), I adored it. A really nice kill based obj game. Really, really loved it.
Yea, getting back into the TF feel... I may have smart pistol farmed a lot of matches these past days haha! Anything to win! Good news is, I'm almost done with the MVP challenge before the 100 Wins, meaning it's doable! I got all my instant titan burncards up and ready.... then Kraber decides to show up. Meh, can't wait to actually use it for once.
I gotta say, what I love the most about a new account is the fact that almost everything I do results getting some cool cards, XP or some other such thing. I was also invited to join the ranked play quite quickly as well so I'm in that already. And...lots of players still underestimating me as I am a lowly rank and gen so plenty of free kills.
I really have to wonder about the underestimation thing. So many of he gen 1's are kick ass players and regularly demolish me. Some of the gen1 Titan tactics are not novice moves. So maybe you are just that good that you get the kills based on your own merits and not a transparent ruse. Maybe you are outplaying all these awesome gen 10 platinum ranked dudes who are running around in disguise. A nice thought for a Monday morning.
First regen requirements for 40mm and shotgun challenges almost done and I'm only level 17, i really do need to get a life
I must admit I am getting a buzz out of going back to square one. I'm level 40 now of second gen so almost to next one. I am loving this stuff.
Imagine if we had an option to pick past regen challenges and do them again for bonuses like 5k credits or something. I'm making good progress on my Gen 9 challenges, and I can definitely realize how fun they are and like you guys said, just how much you miss them when they're gone!
As soon as I crack diamond tier 5 it will be gen 1 rottyluvreborn! until then!, still throwing the controller over rank chips! Never make the mistake of thinking you're all that against Gen1's that's for sure, lot's of guys clearly gone back to Gen1 kicking butt it's a hard battle out there at the moment, and enabling the rank chip just got so much more daring!.
Well doing to gen 2 challenges, not sure if anyone remembers but it's 50 titan kills with the railgun. This has to be one of the most challenging weapons to use effectively and takes quite a bit of thought to do well. But this one will be a slow one. Ha!
Frontier defence for that one! I haven't used the factory railgun since the challenge! (Insta-shot for the pull harder ach. more recently) It does crazy damage with a full charge, might have to have a play with that!
Yeah, on full charge sans insta-shot, it is devastating, I'm just working on staying alive whilst I shoot them. I find it really difficult too as I usually play super aggressive in stryder with a chaingun. With this I still use the stryder but use the particle wall and just sort of hang back and well, you're gonna hate me for this...but I steal kills. I just stand with the thing fully charged, wait for someone else to do the work, hit them with a full charge and viola. It's not honorable, but it's effective. I only ever go one to one with ogres as they cant run away and they can't rush the particle wall.
Well, I got sick to death of getting the railgun kills in attrition. So I turned to good old frontier defense and got 30 titan kills in about 4 matches. Easy money. Ha! Gotta say but I had a such a good time last night quick scoping pilots with the railgun, the level of satisfaction when you succeed is right up there with a 40mm gooser. Soooooooo much fun.
Ok, gen 4 challenges, dmr, auto pistol, quad rocket and charge rifle. Here we go. The DMR at first is really dicky but once you get a feel for the timing I actually quite like it. BUT, and this is a big BUT. I'm not sure if anyone else has experienced this but it is a hit detection night mare. I put 6 shots on a pilot and more that a few occasions and they just turned and partied on me. Any one else get this?
Been there. Not sure if it is distance thing with damage fall off or lack of stabilizer (I always use that) and pooraccuracy. I assume we are talking Longbow. six shots is too long for lag, but lag may be a contributing factor. It totally sucks though.
