The resemblance is uncanny in many regards. One of my favorite sayings is "There is nothing new under the sun." I believe its from the bible, ironically enough as most would label me an atheist.
CoD devs are realizing that they will he left behind. Destruction and knife animations from BF. This from Titanfall. And people think they're the first to do it.

The thing is, whilst I wouldn't say the new COD has copied Titanfall per se, but if Titanfall never saw the light of the day, would the CoD series be taking such a dramatic change to their core gameplay? They've been using the same formula for years and years now and its taken the introduction of a competitor to finally get their asses into gear in regards to attempting something different. There are definite similarities, but the parkour running and titanfall system are unique to Titanfall and it looks like the exosuit system is going to be unique to Advanced Warfare.
Considering the similarities between Advanced Warfare and Titanfall I'm tempted to say COD is copying some of Titanfall's aspects. I'm not too phased by it, though I would COD not to drown Titanfall completely: both have their own unique styles of play and cater to different audiences. This uniqueness is an integral part of the gaming industry. I'm not a fan of COD myself but I see that it carries its own merits and suits a different audience to Titanfall. Just like Battlefield. TL;DR: Not really bothered if COD becomes like Titanfall.
Great post DigitalCore. I never understood why people get so beside themselves because other people play another game from the same genre. I personally enjoy playing CoD, Battlefield and Titanfall. It would be a boring world for me to just play the one all the time!
Did people already forget about this game?? It only came out about 7 years ago. I'm just shocked no one brings up how much the aesthetic and plot elements of this game where completely ripped off by the newest CoD games. CoD released "Ghosts" then CoD releases "Advanced Warfare" They're not copying Titanfall They're copying "Ghosts Recon: Advanced Warfighter" Literally, the CoD Ghosts outfits look almost exactly the same as the Ghost Recon outfits. They also use alot of the same technology, and to make it worse, even the supposed protagonist of the new CoD games has THE SAME NAME as the protagonist of the Ghosts series (and by "Ghosts series" I mean the original one, not the CoD ripoff)
Anyone who thinks Titanfall is COD with robots has either never played the game, or is playing the game wrong.
i don't compare the two games... but all i know is that after i played titanfall and went to play ghost again with some friends i felt like a slug.....
thats too funny... i do the same thing... i look at walls in other games and say "if only i could run up this wall"
I personally think CoD4 and CoD WaW were the best. Both had such innovative mp. Every other one after just copied them. Not to mention WaW had tanks. Driveable tanks.
Why would anyone deviate from what they do well? oh wait, maybe it's because they never had an original IDEA. My, 2 cents - I think games are Better when they aren't trying to be something else. (Example, HALO 4, trying to be ____) The only caveat' to this is if you can do something BETTER than someone else, and I mean PATENTLY BETTER in every regard. Otherwise? do something original or improve something you've already done.
I thought I was the only person who actually liked CoD WaW lol The MP was some of the best CoD I've ever played!
