The directors of Uncharted 4: A Thief's End have stated that work on all other potential games has been put on hold while Naughty Dog focuses its efforts on finishing the title.

In a video interview with Game Informer, game director Bruce Straley and creative director Neil Druckmann shot down suggestions that the studio had already started development on a sequel to The Last Of Us.

When asked if they would be okay with another studio making The Last of Us 2, both suggested this wouldn't be the case. Straley then added: "But that's all a big if. We're 110 per cent in Uncharted 4 territory now. Blinders on, make this awesome."

Acknowledging some fans' desire for the game to stand alone as a single title, Druckmann added: "We totally get it, because we have those same feelings as well.

"I've said this before, so this is not news, but we have brainstormed sequel ideas for The Last of Us, and we've brainstormed ideas for new games, but all of that is put on ice right now while we work on Uncharted 4."

Elsewhere in the interview, the pair reassured fans that rumours Uncharted 4 would be a lot darker than previous games were unfounded.

"We're not gonna make it too dark," Straley said, rolling his eyes. "Everybody calm down, just take a breath. We're retaining all the light-heartedness: it's Nathan Drake. Any project with Nolan North in it, it can't get too dark."

I hate when someone states a figure beyond 100%. Surely that IS 100% then. Before hand was only 90% or whatever.
