Wow! You are a really good FPS player Trini. Way better than I will ever be.
that will be frustrating at best, i call that the cod mentality as players play to get kills rather that the objective, i have a saying if you are not shooting at them they are shooting at me . i remember playing capture the flag games were i came up with a winning stragy and it got boring to win every game not boasting the other team could not get there shit together as i would keep hitting the flag i would die a lot but i played the objective while my teammates did what i told them to do , and that was distract the enemy lay down fire hit what you can all the while me and another player concentrate on getting the flag .
i have made so many friends till i max out 5 times on the ps3 deleted and readded deleted and readded , heck i even had gamers stalking me at a time just for me to play a game with them on there team had to ban lol . had hate male filling up my inbox when i killed them the things and the way gamers get online . i even got accused of cheating so many times it is funny and that was imposable on console.
thanks , but am not that good i am avarage player brother , i play a good ground game that all , i have seen really good players out there that are younger than me , what i am good at is and the reason i play like that is i can like you when i play i think and see the battlefield when i play and use what i can to my advantage , trust me i have had my shitty games we all do and i have my epic games it's just my eyes are not so good any more so my reflex is not as sharp lol .
you know that saying i have at the end of my post .
( I am not the Best but i have beaten the Best .) there is a reason i say this and this is for all the cocky gamers out there that think they are the shit , i remembered the days when i made an entire clan that was talking shit post game all get quiet and they remembered when they played me and the CLAN i formed called the PMC were the entire team that we played changed there clan tags to play with me and my friends . that was an epic times my friend epic times and i was never cocky i always sent a msg statting great game even after taking shit lol.
i always said this to my friends when playing FPS online everyone brings something different to the battlefield everyone has a strength and a weakness . it's how one applies their strength to where it is needed will make the difference and it does not matter win or lose but when you play me i will make them earn that victory.
Too true my friend. Too true.
That is referring to your teammates, but one thing I have learned from playing Titanfall, which was the first multiplayer game I've ever played is that I had to evolve. It is sort of like driving in New York City. I'm not from there and I generally will yield to other drivers and let them in. The first time I went to NYC, I could not get anywhere. I had to learn that if you wanted to get anywhere in NYC, you had to be aggressive and push your way in. I went through this evolution in Titanfall. In games like Borderlands, I was always a very patient, find a good hiding spot and take my time peeking out and killing the enemies. That just does not work in Titanfall. The absolute best and safest strategy in Titanfall is to do as one of my Titanfall mates used to say, "keep that booty movin". Rather than finding a good hiding spot, I constantly fly around the map with reckless abandon, constantaly changing direction and altitude, especially right after shooting. And if I hear or notice someone attacking me, rather than allowing them to gain the upper hand, I go right at them and get in their face and finish them off. I've gone back and played Borderlands again since this evolution and I couldn't believe what a better player it made me in Borderlands.
I don't know about that. Sounds like you are quite the team player and people were beating down your door to be on your team. It takes a special person to be good at that. That's not my cup of tea. I don't have the patience for trying to coordinate or strategize. I prefer to be a lone wolf and fly around with reckless abandon. Sounds like you must be an exceptionally good team player and leader it sounds like.
I had a similar experience. Not that they joined me afterwards like yours did, but one of the games in Titanfall that I was most proud of was when I asked my one buddy if he minded if I joined him. He said, "Sure, but we are getting destroyed by a pro team." I had played with him and the on other guy on our team before, but we never coordinated or looked for help or anything. I never saw the other 3 guys on our team. All 12 players in the game were Gen 10, Level 50s and you could tell by their names that at least 4 players on the other team were a clan. It was Hardpoint on Demeter and my team won and I was the MvP. The clan guys were furious and I was loving it.
Your a good guy Trini. I know what you mean brother. When I used to play football in the neighborhood when I was younger, I always used to like to take the guys that noboby else wanted on their team and try to figure out what their strengths were and use those to their fullest ability. When all of the "good" players were on the other team, those were the sweetest wins when we could take this rag tag team and beat them.
I can identify with you at my age (almost twice yours) with arthritis in my hands, blind in one eye and reflexes like crap makes for a tough time playing. I play almost exclusively Hardpoint and like you said the "COD" types are out their getting meaningless kills while I am getting all the points. Right now my stats are not outstanding but they satisfy me. They are pretty similar on both consoles. I am now focusing on getting my PS4 to Gen 10, just got to 6; while I left Xbox One at 4.15.
36% of the time I have been MVP
67% of the time I am in the top three
50% winning percent
When I was younger I was much better but today when I play attrition I get slaughtered just can't keep up and react fast enough. My point is that as we change over time we need to adjust how we play, recognize our shortcomings and adapt... one thing age has taught me is not to rage anymore and accept that sometimes are going to be absolutely awful.
Like you my "signature" has real meaning it is when I get frustrated that I reflect on it to gain perspective.
Happy New Year and thanks for all your valued input over the past year, keep them coming!
My thoughts on some of the boost's I've used so far.
Amped weapons is a good choice for any pilot based games, I find it really gives an edge in Amped Hardpoint and CTF.
Pilot Sentries. Lot's of people say they do serious work but if your playing against skilled players I don't find that they last long enough to be usefull, they'll get smashed or players will avoid them all together.
Same with Titan Sentries, they might do some work in Attrition but otherwise they seem to be useless.
Spare Battery, quick way of getting a titan mid game.
Viable option in all game modes, even Last Titan Standing.
Smart Pistol. AHAHAHAA yes.
It's complete garbage and it has the potential to hurt buttholes which is why I love it!
Almost useless against quality players but butthurt can still be achieved if your playing CTF, cloak and wait for an opponent to pass by along a flag route and smart pistol them in the back!
Smart Pistol is actually really useful in Bounty Hunt.
Ticks work good in CTF if your protecting a flag and in Hardpoint for defending an objective but I would rather have amped weapons in those situations.
I agree and use Ampted Weapons most of the time. I tried Map Hack but found the weapons worked better for me in AH.
I generally stick to two boosts; Battery Back-Up and Amped Weapons. Titans can make the difference in this game so just before I call my Titan in, I activate the Battery Back-Up and my Titan has a shield, as I tend to earn Titans early and keep them for a good period of time, I use this one the most. I mainly use Amped Weapons if I'm playing Pilot vs Pilot or if I just feel like switching it up.
i think i'm going to try the backup battery and mix it up with different pilots , may try stim and see how this works out . the Amped weapons is a very good offensive perk .
Pro tip for all the attrition players.
When equipped with the battery backup boost,
Save the first one until after your first titan drop.
If/when you lose your first titan,
Use your battery on a teamates titan and reap the reward of a massive build time increase.
Back to back titan drops are nice.
I don't know DARK. Looks like you are doing pretty darn good to me buddy.
Yes, I love that you have this:
"What lies behind you and what lies in front of you, pales in comparison to what lies inside of you." Ralph Waldo Emerson
Give me the guy with the biggest heart over the guy with biggest size, speed or skill. Heart can overcome all of those things and so much more and the guy who has heart is the one I want to be fighting along side of in the trenches.
That is a really awesome tip Battle! Thanks!
I haven't tried battery back up yet. Wow it's amazing how much I've played this game and still so many things to try and experiment with. Because almost everything works so well in this game I tend to just settle instead of experiement
I think all the boosts are awesome. It does seem though that the pilot sentry gets used the most.
Wow get outta here , that's awesome lol. I gotta try that. I'm gonna cause some mass casualties with my ION haha.
I was playing earlier today and I was using the rt201 assualt rifle combined with amped weapons and I was putting people down with EASE. That combination seemed to improve that particular gun drastically
